This isn't especially debt related, just a huge vent. So, sorry!

I'm so, so hacked off today. I really HATE living at home. I hate myself for needing to be here through my own stupidity. I don't like my parents. I genuinely don't. Which doesn't say much for me. I spent ages getting their bank charges back for them - and got shouted at/complained at/ whined at along the way. When they got them back they were pleased for about half an hour - and bought me something as a thankyou - then went right back to complaining about it. I spent hours and hours filling in application forms for incap benefit and DLA for my mum, and phoning the relevant departments asking questions etc because no-one else will ever !!!!!!! phone ANYONE or do ANYTHING and we got confirmation today that DLA will be paid at the highest rate. It's not like I did it behind her back or anything btw, she did know! Obviously, cos of the doctor assessment. And guess what - I'm in the wrong there too. Christ knows why. Apparently now my mum will have her own money to spend she's worse off and it's my fault. !!!!!!??! I've totally had enough.

Oh yeah, and they want to put my rent up. When they're much better off thanks to the bank charges and the benefits than they have been for years. THANKS TO ME. So why would they want to do that? Could it possibly be because I'm making noises about saving to move out? Whatever. They can whistle for it, I've had enough.

To make it vaguely relevant, I'll say I've not done much overtime this month so will be down in my wages next month. Plus I'm going away for a weekend. I don't think I'll make my target. Guess how much I don't care about that right now.

I'll have calmed down in a minute, but right now I'm on the verge of crying, really. And I never cry!

Oh yeah. A bit of good stuff. I've got 6 mystery shops lined up for end of oct/start of nov. So something nice is happening I guess. Not worth a smiley face right now though...

Really sorry you're having a bad time with them. Any chance of more overtime - it'll pep your reserves up and make getting out even quicker.

Have you sat down and spreadsheeted (yes - it's a real verb!) what you need to move out? Both capital and revenue? How far are you from that?

Do you have any friends in a similar boat? Any that would like a lodger?

Spreadsheets done. I earn enough, but need to save deposit etc. I've been saving monthly then using that to pay things off. Gonna change that from jan.

Why not now? Give yourself a couple of months "jump start".

If your friends don't need lodgers/sharers, do they know of people who do? Have you asked around at all?

Because I've got a debt I want to pay off by christmas, I've got a weekend away and I've got christmas.

And no. I'm not gonna share. I really want my own space. I've always shared, I'm done with it
