Some of my uni pals who applied on the 14th got theirs the same week and some are still waiting. Seems a bit unfair.

My uni pal spoke to SAAS today and they explained the situation. They 'prioritise' cases when it comes to expenses. First to get dealt with are those who are single parents/parents, those who have high travel expenses (in excess of £750) and finally those who are self supporting (not living at home). If you don't fall into any of these categories you will be put to the back of the queue unfortunately. She was informed that ALL applications are dealt with within the 21 day timelimit, BUT she warned that if you haven't had a payment yet, it's unlikely you will receive it before the New Year as the office closes for Christmas. Hope no one was relying on the money as it's not likely to come now if you haven't had it.
