You need to read the boxes which you are inputing the amounts into. I can't remember exactly, but it is something like the daily or weekly amount. It's a bit of an odd way to do it, but that's a government website for you.0

How long does it usualy take for the money to come through?
Could really use a little cash injection before christmas!!!
Cheers
I'm not applying until February this year, as I just squandered the lot on Christmas last year and could really have been doing with the money a couple of months later.Come ride with me, through the veins of history...

Hi there, was wondering if anyone could help me,
Last year I applied for the income assessed loan, and after filling out all the stuff from my parents P45s etc a ended up just gettin the basic loan anyway, so this year I thought i'd save myself the bother & just apply for the non-income assessed part. Last year, I applied for my travel expenses and saas gave me something like £280. This year when I clicked on the apply now button it said that as I hadn't applied for an income-assessed loan I was not eligible to apply for travel expenses! In the FAQs on their website, it says they need details of my parents income before they will award me my expenses, but now i'm really worried there just gonna say no your not getting anything. I've emailed saas, anyone have any advice as to what they'll say ?
Thanks, Emily xoxWhats meant to be will always find its way...;)0 -
They'll probably just ask you for your parents' income details.0

Can I ask a very stupid question - do you have to have your offer from the uni to apply for SAAS funding, be it travel or student loan? My UCAS application is with my student advisor just now but I want to put as much in place as I can before starting exams again next year.0

You cant apply for travel until the end of your first term. You can apply for your loan earlier though i believe. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Looks like I'm going to have the same problem as you Emily! Never even thought about it at the time, the non-income assessed part was fine to keep me going. I've emailed them too
