Thanks carlberggal and greenbee I have had a look at the laptops on ebay (saved in my favourite sellers) and will wait until after Christmas as you recommend. DS3 needs a laptop to take to college and to sea with him so doesn't need a top of the range one. He is more likely to drop it etc at sea so a refurbished one will be ideal.

I am pleased you had a nice birthday AnWsmum.

valli I have suggested to DS1 that he makes vouchers for us for C'mas to offer to do something either helpful like cleaning the car or fun like teaching his dad to use the xbox! He is 23 and has no money at all.

rose I am like you, missed church and probably won't be able to get to the village carol singing unless someone with a 4x4 or tractor comes to my aid. I have had a long soak in the bath after dyeing my hair. I feel much better.

PP sorry missed your message about HHC. Starting mine now. By the way, still no eggs. I have asked for some new hens for my b'day in January.

    Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well, No time to catch up, got caught in the snow yesterday, our whole town came to a standstill, took me 2 hours to get home (normally takes 5 mins from where I was) So only got 1 parcel delivered so will need to do them tomorrow after work with 2 kids in tow !!!!

Anyhow, anyone fancy and HHC 2:15 - 2:45 to let me get master bedroom finished?? I am starting to get the CBA feeling so a kick up the bahookie is required and I spent this morning putting stuff in nice plastic boxes so the lofts/attics look tidy :p

toots - doing the stars shouldn't be responsible for you getting behind with your own lists. It won't kill us to wait (says she who has no chance of getting any stars this week :o). I'm glad all your workmen have finally finished, and hope you have a bit of peace and quiet to enjoy your flat being so lovely!
Thanks Greenbee and soappie - the stars are not the problem at all - please dont think i a moaning at doing them - it was deliberate to leave them late this week because of ....... well lets just say it was pre-arrranged;):D but its me and my OCD - if I get behind with the thread I feel I cant just ignore what i havent read in case someone needs support or whatever so yesterday i had the thread to catch up on as well and there's lots happening fotr people just now.

And as for me getting behind with my lists well thats just down to me not being able or not pushing myself enough or procrastinating and loads of OCD tendancies because i want things PERFECT and it doesnt have to be that way!!! I keep telling myself good enough is good enough but some days it makes no odds. I hope that explains me a bit better!!!:rotfl: I think last night i was just tired! Sorry for sounding off - I mustnt be so pathetic - there are loads with more trying issues than me.
Triker I am glad you feel a bit more in the festive spirit now - hope that you dont wear yourself out getting organised xx
holly well done for looking young and beautiful! it might be better if the bruising had come out you might not be so sore - have you put arnica gel on the sore bits to help ease things - hope you are less sore/stiff today.
Dusty well done - be sure to keep things under your control. thats a shame about the bowl - i guess they are a bit 'stir crazy' not getting out so much with the weather but you would have thought the top of a cupboard would be safe:eek:
jinky we only got a light covering late yesterday - i think it is actually raining now:mad:

I have been to church this morning and it was lovely as the children were doing their Christmas play - very sweet and very funny!!!

Now I am going to Asda - a short walk - I will be well wrapped up - I am going for 1 or 2 things that I need and to look for other bits - I wont be buying much because i am not able to carry it home so dont panic!!!

    catch you later
stay safe if you have to go out
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

A few more bits tidied. Carol service now sorted. Need to leave here at 4 just to be on the safe side.

Need to decide whether to walk into the village and see whether the shop has the bits I need, or drive into town on my way to see my brother...

... scrap that... I've just realised I can try the shop, and then if they don't have anything I can go the the garage near my brother on my way home as it's got a tesco express so will still be open late

Off to make myself presentable enough to get to the shop (I have a green towelling turban on my head at the moment). I daren't walk as I don't want to upset my ankle. When I get back I might make some mince pies (more mess in the kitchen ) and make sure I'm respectable for going out tonight!

Kaz - I realy can't face the thought of getting the train back... besides, if it's bad, what's it going to be like getting from the station to my parents' place... I might have to spend christmas with you instead :p
  • Giggle for the afternoon - DH didn't read the packet when shopping and what he thought were toilet rolls are kitchen rolls !! :D:D

Never mind, they'll keep, and the thought was there.....

    HHC at 2.30 anyone?

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

:rotfl: That wouldnt be a problem at all, its usually pretty quiet, just my parents and brother pop round in the morning and Dh is on nights and we always have one spare room free for visitors just in case.

Right I still havent shifted my butt but I am going this time
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
