Dusty - I've Pm'ed you - thank you so much xx

DD has made a snowman. I've used the time they were outside to wrap a few more pressies. I've only got to do about 5 stocking fillers each now.

The house is tidy. The table is set though it will be used before Friday so i'll have to set it again. I just wanted to use the tablecloth / placemats etc more than once. Washing basket empty.

We're going to watch a nice cheesy christmas film now xx

I suppose I should look at the weather forecast and see whether we should be making contingency plans... what are the chances of not being able to get from Hampshire to Norfolk on either a. wednesday (me) or b. xmas eve (him & SIL)?

My parents didn't make it down this weekend due to snow, and our Christmas visitors leave in deepest Kent. So..know how you are feeling...very hard to know what to do.

Even here, the snow has melted a fair bit but we have lethal black ice now instead. Church was "interesting" to get to even after salting the paths - and this evenings carol service promises to be more slippery. So guess who'll be wearing walking boots, wrapped up like like a barrage baloon to offer a steady arm for any who need it?

Cooking a snacky lunch, then on with Christmas decorations/preparations. So much easier this year, and as I'm less frazzled I'm getting lots of help from both my boys - rather fun.

So a big big thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement - it means a lot.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Not much more off the list, but things are looking MUCH better. I've tipped all the ash onto the drive, so I'll see how that works! Fire is slowly getting going again (hopefully it hasn't changed since I last looked). Salad for lunch as it needs eating. Will probably roast a whole lot of veg tonight which I can freeze either to have with casseroles or turn into soup. I don't want to have lots of fresh stuff in when I'm going to be away for a week.

Not much done in the kaz household.
More overnight snow so in total on the untrodden parts its about 6" deep. Poor DH was away to work on his bicycle again at 6 - I never surfaced until at least 9 :rotfl:. Have spoken to him on the phone and he said the big roads seem fine at the moment but the smaller roads are hell. Luckily today he's driving the Honda CRV instead of a rapid response car so its a little higher off the ground. He said its a nightmare getting to some people, he's had to do into the wilds of Lincs to some patients as they had no cover and last I spoke to him he was in March so theyre really pushing him about today.

Greenbee - was thinking, is it an option to get trains up to Norfolk as at least then not driving too far.

The children and I have had an adventure out this morning and it was lovely. I needed to go to farm foods for a few bits which is on one of the out of town retail parks and still didnt want to dig the car out to go so we walked and brought the shopping home on the sledge. Loads of people were laughing at us but we'd have never carried those bags home and enjoyed ourselves as well as of course the kids had to have a turn in the sledge.

One of my parcels arrived today and I got an unexpected item in it - a box of 10 After Dinner Wi11ies  :rotfl:the kids are sure I must have ordered them but I didnt, but to be honest for once I am not going to phone their expensive helpline to inform them and then pay postage to return them so we will have a bit of fun with our coffee when friends come round.

Oh flying - well I have loaded the WM and TD twice, the second time realised I had put 2 acrylic jumpers on a 60 degree wash . Thats prob them ruined now, will just have to work out what I can recycle them into now. Have updated my order for tomorrow again and realised there is still something I want to add. Never mind will do later.

Think I will now go and finish the wrapping and then only Dh's parcel to wait for.

First find some hand cream as my hands are like sandpaper this time of year, not nice.

    See you all later
