Oh.. it just gets better.
The self-ticketing is genius.
So they expect the land-owner to do all the work themselves.. and PCN-UK LTD take the money.
I wonder why nobody else thought of that? (Because its stupid?)
and..
Q: What if an offending vehicle fails to pay?
A: We follow strict codes of practice set by the BPA
Errr... No you don't. You're not a member. (Cue - email to the BPA)
Page title - Wheel clamping, Wheel clampers...
Errr... You don't have a SIA clamping licence. Neither would the "self-ticketer" (Cue - email to SIA)
Q: Who deals with complains and appeals?
A: Our office has a dedicated team of staff who solely deal with complaints and appeals.
Errr... No you don't. It's just one man and he ignores complaints and appeals
Q: How do you obtain details of offending vehicles?
We obtain details direct from the DVLA under the freedom of information act
Errr... The FOI doesn't cover vehicle registration details. AND you now need to comply with a code of conduct to obtain Registration details. Which you don't. (Cue - email to DVLA)
Q: Can we set the PCN fee?
A: Yes you can
Errr... No you can't. The BPA sets limits. Ahhh.. but you're not a member.. even though you pretend you are.

This is no longer a one-man-band. They appointed a new, male, director on 7 December. Still no SIA licence frontline or non-frontline that I can find on the details given to CoHo.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

Q: What if an offending vehicle fails to pay?
A. That would be normal as vehicles don't have bank accounts or access to money. Nor can a vehicle 'offend'.
Goodness me, the flow of gibberish is endless. Severe communication problems.

I notice they have the BPA logo on their front page. I didn't think there were members.
Edit, I have just checked the BPA membership list and they are definatly not on there.
So that's another infringement on their part. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

4.The Internet
4.1.If you communicate with us using the Internet, we may occasionally email you about our services and products.
So what are these mythical "products" they are talking about!
Of course what has probably happened is that this whole page has been cut-and-pasted from somebody else's website with no thought to the actual content and whether it is relevant to their operation.
This is their Privacy Policy Page0 -
The privacy policy appears to be identical with those of a number of other websites and could well be one that is available with a website template rather than anything else. (Copy a whole paragraph and Google it).
Is it wise to be providing all of the guidance this company need to actually get their act together? If we continue in this vein PCN-UK will have the sharpest arguments and the best website - in terms of the validity of its content - in the industry (if it deserves to called such). My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Yes HO87, that's possible about the privacy policy, but would a company like British Gas use a freely available template? Most of the official sites which use the same policy are all linked to British Gas. This is because they're all owned by British Gas' parent company, Centrica. Dyno, The AA and British Gas all have this same privacy policy page and are all owned by Centrica. There are also lots of other websites with links to British Gas, such as Switchyourenergy, which also use the page. I think it's highly likely that other websites which are not owned by Centrica but are using the same privacy policy, have lifted it off one of these websites.
I also agree that in a way, we're helping them, which is why I don't want to correct all the mistakes on their site for them.0
