I believe that you need to have been personally involved to make a 'proper complaint' to the ICO.
That's not to say they don't welcome general information...but they are so understaffed that I would suggest it's a complete waste of time.0 -

I thought I had read that from February 2010 only those PPCs who are entitiled to request registered keeper details electronically will be able to get them? In other words to paper-based version is ceasing - or did I dream this?
I still think what Ranger Services are doing needs a complaint or two to the Information Commissioner. Surely it cannot be lawful to circumvent a restriction the DVLA have on who is entitled to obtain data, by just using a middle-man who then passes that data on to those who are not allowed it?[/QUOTE]
As the dvla manage to divulge the info without problems then is it classed as sensitive? I think what I mean is:- If DVLA can do it then why can't Ranger services. The reverse being if RS are not allowed then DVLA are not supposed to either.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

It isn't that simple. You have to 'give a reason' to the DVLA.0 -
Considering the dvla accepted 2.5million "reasons" last year they can't be very strenuous. That's nearly 7000 a day, virtually all electronically, so they are not scrutinised very well are they.I would guess that the likes of RS just give a reason once and the rest of the time they just shell them out.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

2.5 million "reasons" at £2.50 a shot is £6,250,000.
I cannot see the DVLA wanting to close that nice little revenue stream down in a hurry, especially if the majority of "reasons" are electronic and require little overhead once the systems are in place.0 -

An illegal job description:-
But may be required to seize vehicles part of our debt collections department.
Unless they are appointed court bailiffs (and I don't think any employees of this company hold that exalted position) that would be breaking the law.
For pity's sake whoever drafted that advert can't even spell "licence".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Can you explain the final sentance of the advert?
Please do not apply if you do...I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
