When I looked the other day the are on the "Member List" section of the lanpac website. Given their methods I guess this is another case of them paying money so an official body not being interested in anything they actually do.

Has anyone asked the obvious question about whether PCN-UK is actually a member of LANPAC? We all know the situation of the BPA and the use of their logo. I wonder if it's possible to obtain a member's list?

I have checked actually and they are on the members list but if all you have to do to join is give them £50 and have a quick check that you have never been arrested its not exactly an exclusive club is it? If you go to the members list and click on PCN-UK it takes you to their website...which is back up and running.

LANPAC sounds just like one of those so-called "independent" hotel and restaurant guides. All you have to do is pay a membership fee to be included, without the publishers actually making any checks on how good the establishment is.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Interesting that you use that comparison. I remember years ago when That's Life exposed the scam of companies sent an invoice for advertising in a publication that they hadn't asked for and which didn't exist anyway!

I liken those unenforcable invoices to those from PCN-UK LTD and other such scammers.

The funny thing is that if I had only got the first ticket there is a slight chance I may have paid it even though I thought it unfair. It was the greed of Ben adding the second ticket that made me think Im not having this and researching into it. At that point the helpful info all you guys have provided on here about the fact they are illegal made me determined that they are not getting a penny! A BIG THANKS to you all for your hard work!!!!

Shame on you debchorley, you have deprived the person named after a crappy Kent town of using your "fine" to buy another sovereign (9ct) from Elizabeth Duke.

P.S For breaches of the Unfair Business Practices Law the Office of Fair Trading Deal with the complaints. You can find how to complain on their website or I can post a link for you.

My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Strange how Lancs police are 'aware' of them but then allow them to be members of LANPAC. I have it on good authority that GMP are 'aware' of them too. ;)

Going the council route is a good idea.
I know that in my local area a guy who owned a pub put a little sign up and started ticketing people who parked on the street next to the pub. One victim complained to the council.. who then asked the police to pay the pub owner a visit. :)

What tirade of posts?? I see no tirade.

A pedant writes....a tirade wouldn't really consist of a series of posts, but more so of a "long angry or violent speech".

BFG, Just what do you get from sitting at your PC in your little bedsit in the early hours of the morning putting up numerous posts just to cheese people off.

You are an idiot of the highest order. I would venture you may have mental issues too. Just shows care in the community does not work, imbecile.

There's no need for a capital 'J' after BFG, since it's not at the start of a sentence or a proper noun.

I would also suggest you're not qualified to pass judgement on mental health issues......oh hang on, maybe you are.
