  • Just a little update...

My landlady's boyfriend has been in contact with a friend of his who is quite high up in the police force and made them aware of this situation. He also rang PCN-UK twice, was hung up on once after being told to f*** Off and the other time the bloke basically said that smart ars*s like him ruin his day...what was the smart ars* asking for??? His British Parking Association membership no.

Another neighbour also rang them asking who gave them permission to work here and was told they are working with the council. I already know this is a lie as I phoned the council on the day I got the tickets. My neighbour was told by PCN-UK that if anyone can provide proof they live on this road then the tickets are waived! They shouldnt really have lied as my neighbour now has an appointment with the council on Monday to discuss this! Oops!

Debchorley, can you make out the name of either of the "wardens" who issued the ticket, I ask this as we would all find it incredibly amusing if one of the wardens is a Mr A Sheridan-Wood (Or a variant as he drops parts of his names sometimes).

There is no proper name on them...one is issued by staff ID number 5221 and the 2nd one received a couple of hours later was staff ID 1991 and I think it says Ben after it.

The funny thing is that if I had only got the first ticket there is a slight chance I may have paid it even though I thought it unfair. It was the greed of Ben adding the second ticket that made me think Im not having this and researching into it. At that point the helpful info all you guys have provided on here about the fact they are illegal made me determined that they are not getting a penny! A BIG THANKS to you all for your hard work!!!!

Funny you should mention that....I went around there last night to have another look at the sign, it does say they can ticket you, clamp you, or tow you away. It also says permit parking but there is no indication of how and where you need to apply to for a permit.

I ended up talking to a couple of decorators who are working on a house on that street who had parked there yesterday morning and they had to run out into the street as their van was about to be clamped! As soon as the decorators confronted the guy about to clamp them and said they were working on one of the houses the guy let them both off!!!! How can they have one rule for them and another for me???

He did not so much let them off, it was the sight of angry builders had him soiling his pants.

Perhaps this person could enquire as to how PCN-UK are members of the Lancashire Partnership Against Crime, as reported by someone earlier, as it is run by Lancashire Constabulary.
  • Unfortunately none of the links I tried on their site worked so was unable to ask the question. Maybe others will have more luck.
Not surprisingly they have ignore the BPA request to remove (assuming BPA grew some and told them to.)

PCN-UK really cause me alot of confusion.

I cannot see how they can behave like this and expect to stay in business.

They clearly read these forums, since they updated their website based on posts here and elsewhere just before Christmas.

As much as I hate to say it, the majority of PPCs are fairly civil in comparison to the reported antics of this mob.

What is their motivation for acting in this way?

Perhaps I'm trying to read too much into their behaviour, but it just doesn't add up!

That sounds like the man himself. Those answers are similar to the very abusive emails I received from him after some of us joined his FaceBook page and posted some "home truths" about his company and private parking companies in general.

Good point, I will ask him to bring it up. Im not sure who would be in charge of shutting this company down? Is it the police, trading standards or would one of these official bodies that he says he is a member of have to take him to court? I find it really odd that someone can break the law like this and get away with it!

Maybe I will wait for the local politicians to do their pre-election rounds, ambush them and make them give me an answer!

????????? They can be in LANPAC because they have obviously paid their money in and the police have not arrested them on a criminal charge....yet! £50 is a cheap price for them to pay to try and show some sort of legality. After all, they get that from 1 ticket if paid within 7 days...or 2 years memberships if the ticket is paid within 14 days.

Has anyone asked the obvious question about whether PCN-UK is actually a member of LANPAC? We all know the situation of the BPA and the use of their logo. I wonder if it's possible to obtain a member's list?
