Then there's always the issue of the LANPAC logo as well. This is what their website has to say about the use of their logo - Click Here
I understand that their attention has been drawn to "our friends in [STRIKE]Preston's[/STRIKE]" sorry, sorry, "Bridgend's" use of it.

Similarly, this is what the ICO has to say about the use of their logo Click Here.

I wonder if express permission has been given in each case?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

    Well said.

I was thinking earlier. We've only had one confirmed user who says they've got a ticket. Nothing on other forums either.

Do you think that PCN-UK Ltd, this Nationwide parking company is actually only looking after one or two car parks?

I live in Chorley and on an un-adopted road last night received 2 tickets from PCN-UK. They gave me one at 4.45pm and another with a different staff id number at 8.20pm. There was a sign outside a house that is up for sale but no-one is living there and I couldnt park elsewhere because of the snow/ice. Do I sent the letter I have wrote with mitigating circumstances, disproportionate fine, and demanding prove of the company/notices legitimacy? I tried to go to their website but it is not there and came across these forums instead - thank god I didnt just get scared and pay them!!! Need help please

Don't contact them. You have done nothing wrong and you have not done anything illegal.

You might get a few letters from them but ignore them all. I doubt if this company will be around for much longer, judging by all the rules and laws they appear to have broken.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

debchorley, Can you remember if there were any signs about parking restrictions in that unadopted road? I am wondering who gave PCN-UK permission to "police" that particular road.

Unfortunately there is a sign but because of the icy road conditions meaning loads of other people had parked on there i couldnt park where i normally do. The house that it is outside is up for sale and the 2 women who own it own that part of the road - they have moved out. There are 6 houses on the road and the sign is only outside that one house. I spoke to the council earlier and they said that maybe the owner had employed them-my landlady is trying to get a message to them. I am going to the police later to see what they say!

Dont worry about me paying it though..Im no pushover and will not pay anything to them without an official court order after reading all the posts on here.

As a bonus of course.. by talking about PCN-UK Ltd instead of the owner.. we type PCN-UK Ltd more times.

So PCN-UK Ltd appears on the page more.

Pushing this page up the Google rankings for any search on PCN-UK Ltd

These posts actually come up in 1st place on my MSN search. Good work everyone!!! :T
  • Deb,

If anecdotal reports on this forum are anything to go by, it would seem PCN-UK are prepared to go to some crazy (and certainly illegal!) lengths to obtain payment.

If you receive a visit from their "bailiffs" rest assured that they are nothing of the sort. Refuse to speak with them, and call the police if they refuse to leave.

If they claim to have a "warrant" then they are committing a very serious criminal offence.

Put all your friends and neighbours on their guard about this company and their antics, and join the Facebook campaign.

Can I have an e-bet and predict they will say "Sorry its a civil matter."
Might be worth checking the council to see if the road is adopted or not, not because you want to pay but to stop the ppc from doing it to anyone else if they are not entitled to.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I'd be interested in going along to take a look at this unadopted road and sign.
