Judging by everyones response - I am not even waiting for an empty parcel. I have already called asking for refund - I did not even have to explain the guy knew before i finished my sentence.

Has anyone tried the £12 code? x

    Nope...once biten, twice shy :D.

I called and said I refused the empty parcel and the CS said that I should have accepted it because inside was a £12 voucher, instead of the refund, so that I could select another item to buy from them (My order had come to almost £12 for three blankets). No freebie and i will get my monetary refund in 3 to 4 days.

  • thanks guys especially for the freephone number, no blanket for me either but at least I'm getting my £6.99 refunded thanks to MSE'ers. Never ever deal with these people again though. No freebie for me but I doubt if freebie would arrive anyway.

  • cant get the £12 discount code to work x
  • I was another one who received a bag with just leaflets/brochure. I phoned them and the lady said they didn't have enough stock to fulfil all the orders she received so she would process the refund. I didn't bother to ask about the free gift, so Mrs Annie or anyone else who wants the leaflet can let me know and I can forward it on. I won't be using them again either (not unless it is a mega-bargain!).

My mother recieved her enpty packet the other day, we though it was an error, they sent mine today.

When I called, the man said "we are aware of a problem with that item". I asked why resources were being wasted sending out empty packets to everyone, he repeated the first line. It's hilarious to me that someone picking in a warehouse is aware nothing is going into the packet, yet insert a receipt and their company pays to get them sent all over the UK.He even had a cheek to ask if I wanted to try a sweater that was on special offer for £15. YES PLEASE!

Surely sending out nearly empty packs has to be classed as excessive packaging and they are breaking some sort of law? It's a waste of money, and our time, a simple email stating it's out of stock would have been sufficient.

If you are getting a refund, make sure it goes back onto the method of payment used and not your "La Redoute account". Won't use the company again, that's for sure.
