oh blimey I better check my receipt then! I never do! Or I do and forget how much is was anyway.0

I always check especially with deals as they are very sneaky about swapping a non deal variety of the item in amongst the deals.0

I always check my receipts and add my items up as I go along so I know if I have been overcharged.Slimming World at target0

I always check my reciepts. I also carefully read any offer tickets on the shelf edge to make sure I'm getting the right combo of items. I do occassionally find the odd error on my bill but I'm afraid to say that most of the time it's due to me picking up the wrong combo. So actual genuine overcharging errors rather than ticketing or offer errors? I probably only found three or four last year, split evenly between Tesco and Sainsburys.Val.0

got overcharged today...picked up 3 bottles of coca cola for £3 deal....got to checkout was charged £1.36 (i think thats right there abouts anyways) each and none taken off. So went to customer services and she then brought 3 larger bottles of coke that were on the deal and refunded my 96p. CHEEKY SAINSBURYS as they were all on shelf together.0

I've noticed an overcharge on a number of occassions. But also sometimes similar items are not on the right shelf, so you think you are geting an offer on something, bit it is actually for a different item to the one you have put in you trolley.
This is an area you have to be careful in - so check your receipt as soon as you leave the till ....0 -
I only check prices when I can remember them. I decided after reading threads like these I should be more careful.
I've bought myself a small jotter pad and am trying to get in the habit of writing down the price of each item in there for checking after I have paid.
Straight away in Morrison a dozen organic free range eggs on offer at £3.05 went on the bill at the original price o £3.85.
Different vein, bananas in Morrison a few weeks back dirt cheap 3 lovely ones for 26p. Thursday just gone 4 for 82p. They've wapped them up and above what they would normally price them at around I guess 56p.0 -
I always check my receipt ever since I was charged £10 for a loaf of bread many, many years ago.
I shop at Sainsbury and usually find that they admit mistakes and refund. However I find the receipt for the shopping confusing. Some offers show the refund immediately underneath whereas others get deducted at the end of the receipt.
For instance, I was charged full price for persil 42 wash when it showed offer at £4 at end of aisle and full price on shelves. Got the refund of £2.38.
Always, always check your bills.0 -
I stopped shopping at Tesco because barely a week went by when I wasn't overcharged on something or other. Another thing they are dab-hands at is putting the wrong price against items on the shelves i.e. you think you've got a bargain, when you haven't. Their refund policy seems to change weekly, too. Sometimes I would be offered the overcharge value, sometimes it would be double the difference. After writing to their CEO about the regularity of overcharges (and receiving a dismissive letter in response), I decided to boycott Tesco. Standing in line at customer services to get MY money refunded, was taking up too much of my life!
I now shop at Sainsbury's, and have only been ripped off once. Pretty good going......0 -

I thought it was just the shelf stacker's at my local Morrisons!
The shop is full of the wrong items on the wrong shelf, or should I say, the price on the shelf does not match the product on the shelf.0
