Morrisons usually sting me for biscuits on offer and are very annoyed when you ask for a refund.

Never had an issue with Tesco. Instead what they do is put 2 litre bottles in 1 litre spaces and hope you don't notice, so you think you are getting a 2 litre bottle cheaply. That way, because they have charged the right item price, you only get your refund for wrong item purchased, but those who feel silly for making a mistake, accept it an go home with their item.
  • i am always overchraged in tescos , and i make sure i get my money back. be warned though, i have been told by a manager that if i do it again i will be banned!!! B******s i said YOU'VE overcharged me and i want my money back. the very next week i was overcharged and i went to cs where the very same cs dragon was on, and she just gave me my dtd on a wii game no probs. shame i was looking for a fight! :-D
  • I find my local Morrisons is always overcharging me on something.I usually pop in there every monday to pick up offers, etc, and have found that nearly every time in the last month or so i have been charged different price than the shelf price on at least one item. :(
The customer service girl even recognises me now and jokes what price have they got wrong this week!:o
  • I find that sainsburys have got terrible for overcharging. Only the other week i was charged twice for some dishwasher tablets. I checked my receipt later that day and spotted the mistake. When i went back to complain the lady at customer services got really funny and said i should have checked my receipt straight away, and she would give me a refund as a goodwill gesture!! I shop there every week for gods sake, and i haven't time to stand there and check every product! It pees me off that these supermarkets think they can rip us off time and time again! This also isn't the first time sainsburys have ripped me off!!

I agree, I shop at all the supermarkets and Sainsburys are by far the worst culprits when it comes to overcharging. Then you have to queue up for ages to get your refund, and all you get is the amount overcharged, no double the difference or £2 gift card :-(, and think of all those people who don't notice the overcharging...
  • My last two visits to Sainsburys have resulted in my being over charged by £2.75 and then £3.85. I always now check my receipt.

my son bought some lager from Tesco that was on offer. Realised he had been charged full price when he checked his receipt. Took it back for refund was given item difference price doubled. (Offer £10, proper price £14.99, was given £4.99 x2, £9.98) his lager cost him 2 pence. Went the next day to get some more was charged full price again smae result. Went home told his friends. They all bought the offer lager (at DIFFERENT TIMES ) during the day the same thing happened again. Tesco hadn't amended the computer pricing. They all got their lager for 2p. This went on for 4 days. Their house was awash with lager.

I always check my reciepts and 3 out of 5 times I have been overcharged
Tesco is the worst in my opinion, a few weeks ago they did an offer off 2 x Bisto best for £2, I got a Chicken and a pork, when I noticed the offer hadnt been taken off the bill I took it 2 customer services and it turns out ' the pork gravy wasnt in the same offer, although it was 2 for £2  In other words I could have 2 of the Pork 4 £2 or 2 of any other varieties for £2!!!!!!! ' No where on the shelves was this obvious all it said was 2 for £2, it does make you wonder how many people think they getting an offer and are not
  • Its bad enough when the supermarket overcharges you, i had the misfortune of overcharging myself the other day in Morrisons. Found a nice sandwich - was £2.00 reduced to 50p - went to the self scan and promptly scanned the £2.00 barcode. Needless to say i was too embassessed to go back!

Three times in one week I was overcharged at Tesco.

I checked when I got outside and got the double the difference when I went to customer services.

Always check the receipt before you drive off.

And some supermarkets have two types of beans or maybe tuna and they are side by side and look almost the same and one is a lot more expensive than the other and the price tag on the shelf isn't too clear.

Tesco Extra - 90% of all shops
    Tesco metro - rarely
Sainsburys - maybe 1 shop in 6? Really wish they gave you a voucher or DTD as its always a pain and a massive queue to get through to get a refund as my store is allergic to having less than 5 people queueing at any till.
I rarely shop in Asda or Morrisons so no overcharging so far.

I always check now...
