I have a bit of a crush on the Victorian period and mixing it with Christmas just makes me dizzy!

I loved this series, I liked it when she made the jam set by boiling up the apple leftovers (peel and cores) to get pectin into the liquid before adding the fruit, and the rest of the apples did an apple pie I think. Very old style
Thanks for reminding me this is on.

Boo ... we're away for the weekend so I'm going to miss it.
I loved the programmes and unlike similar series renacting historical periods I thought it was really authentic.
I've recently been thinking about the victorian farm series as I am considering making my own sanitary towels and remember Ruth making some but I guess that isn't very Christmassy and something for an entirely different thread?!
Enjoy the programme all

Definitely watching but its likely to be a repeat, I'm sure there was a Chirstmas episode last year."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
