ThanksIt was the big Foo Fighters gig in Hyde Park (I'll add that I hadn't paid for my tickets anyway, so it wasn't that nice of me!). I was only really bothered about QOTSA but the whole thing was amazingly good (apart from Angels and Airwaves who sucked beyond belief!)
Oh and talking about Inspiration, have you all read Join Me? (by Danny Wallace). Ace book, kind of restores faith in humanity!DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

1. Have told three friends about reclaiming bank charges - one has already been refunded £150.
2. Have made enquiries about the college hardship scheme in an effort to get a reduction in next semester's fees.
3. After being down and demoralised about having no money and paying, paying, paying off debt did my forecast for next month (payday at the end of the week) and found all my scrimping has paid off - I'm £100 better off next month! Got so inspired I did my August forecast while I was at it - £120 better off! Yay! :T
4. Have joined various survey/points sites and so far made around a tenner.
5. Joined market research bureau - so far owed £35 and have two more bookings lined up (another £40). What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
I am inspirational because:
For the first time since I passed my driving test (many years ago!), this year will be the first year I have actually got the money sitting in the bank for my MOT, car tax and any work that may need doing to the car to pass the MOT.
Such a little thing but I'm really pleased with myself! Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!0 -

Danny wallace lives on my road!!!!I think hes so cool
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I LOVE Danny Wallace - think I'm actually a bit obsessed by him actually. Have any of you read the 'Yes Man'? Thought it was good (wanted to BE Lizzie) but not quite as good as 'Join Me'. I also tried to get into the whole making his own country thing - but was on too late for me (11.35pm in Scotland!)
I spent quite a lot of time with Dave Gorman - who co-wrote 'Are you Dave Gorman' with Danny Wallace when I was working at an Edinburgh Fringe venue a few years ago as 'artist liaison' - ooo-eerr!
scottishspendaholic xMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
Anyway - can't think of much about why I'm inspirational just now.
I am a fool - I dropped off a work hire car (only done 1,000 miles - big swanky 06 plate Vauxhall Zafira) last night at 8pm - only to lock my handbag in the car boot and I had dropped the keys off. Long story - but involved me putting extra petrol in my car and getting up before 6am this morning to sort it all out.
Plodding away on this debt repayment though! Seems to be setback after setback sometimes...

I've read them both loads (not that unusual for me, I read books over and over), but yes they're both brilliant. Might re-read Join Me actually! I was a bit disappointed with the country thing. The first episode was hilarious, but it got old very quickly
Lynz, do you stalk him? I probably would...DFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls
