    What a fab thread - thanks Lynz. Can I join in too please?

    I'm inspirational because I:

    * quit smoking on 1st April
    * gave up Sky and we don't miss it!
    * have paid off @ £2K since 1st April
    * have saved £1665 p/a on outgoings through changing bank acct, car insurance and cancelling unecessary DDs
    * have made £556 so far by using Quidco, the referrers board and selling stuff
    * am also saving the monthly amount needed to pay bills annually next year.
    * am preaching MSE to all and sundry

    Three cheers for all MSErs/DFWs! :T

    Great thread, and well done to everyone who has posted so far, its great to have such a happyt thread.

    ok I am inspirational because I am well and truly back on the wagon - in fact I am now driving it!.

    This month my I think my OH and I have cleared our overdrafts and one credit card which leaves us with 2 credit cards left and I think just under £4k debt and lots of pennies are owed to us and due in over the next 2 months.

    We had done every bank loophole going and seemed to be running out of get rich ( or just debt free) quick schemes, but the I had a good look at quidco and have found another whole list of money making schemes. So I am feeling very inspired and very happy.

    Ps Jeester the way we have suddenly been able to pay off a huge whack is by spending a month doing everything we can, selling on ebay amazon, car boots, doing any extra work going, having no nights, out takeaways, spending as little on shopping, eating out of the freezer and cupboards for a month, re looking through all our bills and changing any supplier possible, credit card tarting and spending weekends doing all those boring jobs that pile up but need doing. This may sound like a month from hell but when you know its only for one month you can do it, and then at the end of the month you will have saved £100s. I personally couldn't do this for more than a month and that is why we just have a month target, but you can do a hell of a lot in a month, look at quidco, freefivers, pigsback, rpoints, lightspeed, ciao :beer: and spend you evenings signing up for everything you can. Good luck and let me know how you get on. (Also I'm going to be cheeky and say pm me if you'll let me refer you to any of the sites I've mentioned, if you just want to sign up then again good luck.) I hope you have a very successful month and please keep us updated on how things go. :beer:

    I am inspirational because instead of feeling (too) guilty about going to a concert and paying out mucho for trains/drinks I matched the amount I spent and paid it to my lowest debt which will now be cleared a month early. Two treats in one! it's gonna be a little tight for the rest of the month til payday (ten days!) but sooo worth it :D

    Edit: and I gave my spare ticket to some girl who was crying because she'd lost hers rather than sell it to tout-scum. I may have been conned, but I don't care, I'm gonna assume I wasn't!
