Excellent thread, lets everyone feel good about themselves.
I am inspirational because I have paid off 2 debts this year, 1 which was over £5,000, and I am well on the way to clearing another this month. I have refused to give up on things even though I suffer with Cystic Fibrosis and have lost my dad, my baby nephew and my great auntie this year.
Keep posting everyone - it really does make you feel better!!

I'm inspirational because I'm just coming to the end of my fifth smoke free day! I've saved over £20 already - whoohoo!
I've also stuck to my budget for the past two months - even with a hubby and two kids who I love spending money on!
This is a brilliant thread and is truly inspirational to read everyone's posts.

I don't have any big milestones that I can point to (although well done to all the previous posters who have had amazing successes) but...
I am still a DFW and still on the budgetting wagon. Still check my online banking every day, plan everything on MS Money, and feel in control of my money now. And still on target to clear my CC in 3 months time, just before the 0% ends.
So yeah, a bit boring, but in a way for me it is the mundanity of staying on the DFW wagon that is one of the hardest things. It is so easy to slip, and I haven't yet.DFW Nerd 0350 -
If I can join in....
I've gone four days without a smoke, I've credit-card tarted this month and managed to get a rebate of £85 of interest along the way, and I've managed to stop wasting so much money on shop-bought lunches meaning my overdraft is now completely clear!
Feeling moderately inspirational, and generally inspired by the company I keep on here. :beer:Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

4) My proudest one-Had a motion passed through national conference persuading my union (PCS) to set up a credit union for all members. This was passed unanaimously, and should hopefully help other people with their monetary habits.
Have a fab weekend.

I spoke on that motion! I was the one wearing the Credit Union T shirt. I managed to mention the Bank Action Group twice as well!
Strangely, that evening I went to the cash point in Brighton and found my bank charges had been refunded!Total debt May 2005 £83,232
