tootsiepops - there were plenty of other posters who were rather more understanding of the situation, I hope I was! wherever you post there is ALWAYS someone who will be critical or downright rude but have to admit you did get the cream of the crop agin you! dont let it stop you posting on this thread hun - they will find someone else to savage tomorrow.

And in this case the only rude poster as far as I can see, was the OP.

The OP didn't like the majority of responses because they didn't agree with her, so to turn it around and say those who didn't agree were being rude and savage is ridiculous!

shellsuit - for a change i disagree with you - or perhaps i didnt make it clear that I meant those posters who said they would use physical violence. and I dont understand what you mean by the majority of posters - I may be number dyslexic but to my mind the split was about 50/50 with most posters acknowledging that things are done in heat of the moment.
HOWEVER, some posters did attack the OP not once but several times making it look like she was in minority (a common tactic on several threads i could name).

Actually - if that had been the case then I think the OP would have faired a lot better.

If she'd come on the site and said "Look, I've really mucked up. I got myself all flaired up and behaved completely out of order towards a little girl and her Dad in front of everyone, what's my next step to get this sorted?" - the thread would have taken a completely different journey to the one it did.

It's the behaviour of the OP subsequent to this event and on this site that has shown more negativity over her personality than any of the misguided or inappropriate behaviour that happened after the incident in question.

We all c0ck up from time to time - it's just that some of us have the humility to admit when we do.

Donna - we're not 5 year olds on here. You can stop with all the aggression now.

Originally I had felt sympathy for Tootispops and felt that she might have reacted badly under strain. Now my sympathy lies entirely with her daughter - for having such an immature, irrational mother - poor child - how on earth will she turn out with such a bad example for a mother :(

Tootsipop - just grow up dear!

While you're just big and tough when picking on a five year old. Makes me wonder who the real bully is.

Children take after their parents - probably explains why your daughter is Miss unpopular.

And if you're about to fire off another sarcastic response, don't bother, I won't be reading it. Instead why not concentrate on figuring out why your five year old has no friends.
  • As for my parenting skills, please don't worry my DD are well cared for, well fed, well looked after. Well socialised with plenty of friends, doing extremly well in school & nursery, polite, thoughtful and generally good children, say what you want about me, but DON'T ever call my children, you was'nt there (i'd love to see, how you lot would have reacted!!) when this all happened, i do not give a damn what any of you think of me, LEAVE MY CHILDREN ALONE, don't pity them they are brought up in a household with a loving mum & dad, who are not in debt, who are not swingers or anything else that crops up on this site, I asked a question and got plenty of answers, a lot from self-opinionated people who think children can't be nasty, their not capable . Children are a product of their home life and mine or totally normal, healthy ones. So do yourselves a favor take a good long look at your life, and stop trying to rip mine to shreds. BEFORE ANYONE ELSE POSTS ON THIS JUST THINK ARE YOU PERFECT?? I THINK NOT?

Isn't it time this thread was locked now? It's got way out of hand and any valid points that may have been raised on both sides are now just lost in the arguing.
