Hi folks,
Need some help. I have the Green tesco Clubcard Plus card (the one that gives you double points) I top it up in-store weekly and then pay for my groceries.
This week I hope to shop on tesco.com for the first time for my groceries. Can I use my green tesco Clubcard Plus card online to pay or is it only for use in-store and I'll need to pay with my tesco Credit Card instead?
many thanks in advance............:D

Thanks jumps, I must be doing something wrong but when I added a few items to my basket for a practice and then went to the checkout it gave me a number of payment card options, Mastercard, Visa etc but no signs of a "Clubcard plus option. Did I just miss it?:o“Having, first, gained all you can, and, secondly saved all you can, then give all you can"....John Wesley

I recycled alot but I followed their instructions to a tee. They gave me the points & issued me the vouchers, so if I was wrong, why did they not stop me earlier??? If there was a limit I would have stuck to it but they continuously accepted my inkjets. We've helped them make money, now they don't want to reward us. They win even if we get the 4x deals because we get GBP4.00 every inkjet if swapping 4 deals and they get to remanufacture the inkjet, selling for approx. GBP12.00 each??? I feel completely mislead as even TRF encouraged us to send lots of inks, no limit. I have email evidence too so will not be letting this go easy. If others have been conned by Tesco, please send me a message and we can get a group up to complain.0

Devide how many carts you sent by the days in the year = 5.4 a day,
now tell us again how hard done by you think you have been ? are you really going to take them to court and say you use that many a day.
You know what will happen the cart recycle scheme will go the way of the R&R they will change it to 12 a year instead of the present 30.
To answer Akane,
What I'm peed off about is why were we NEVER told we were excessively recycling?? They accepted the inks no questions asked!! If they had a limit they should have said so at the start and changed their T&C like they've done only now. I would take them to court for misleading consumers into a false promise. They have made the mistake and want to squirm out of it by blaming the consumers for just doing what they encouraged us to do.
That is the disagreement.0 -

I'm all for taking Tescos for a ride.
But to be honest - the amount of recycling you 2 Dudes have done - you are taking the pee and you have been caught - it's tough.
As Leadhead (Tesco Coupon King) has said many times - the Clubcard is the Tesco ID card.
The mitigating issues - kids on special holidays - this doesn't really come into the equation.
You can try a Civil Court but you will struggle - sometimes Judges look more favourably on the 'little man' sat across from the Coporate suits - I can provide more info on Civil Court processes if required.
Ultimately I think you are stuffed.
In the R&R days I had a couple of times when I was stuffed by Tesco (only a couple) - simply walked away to fight another day.
Good luck to you,
Duder
Sorry mate but I couldn't disagree more with all that.
Not sure what you mean by "caught" or "taking the pee" - what on earth are these people supposed to have done wrong? There was nothing in the T+Cs about maximum limits. And Tesco get the same money off the recycling company whether 1 person sends 5000 cartridges, or 5000 people each send 1 cartridge. It's all about recycling, innit? I thought the more stuff got recycled, the better. Surely everyone's a winner if someone sends in thousands of cartridges? How is anyone losing out?
It's the most clear cut case of breach of contract I've ever heard of. No reason why anyone would struggle putting a case like that before a court (and win).
Anyway, I'm 99.9% sure Tesco would never let the case reach a court hearing if a claim was served (and I speak from personal experience).
They will act tough when corresponding with you, but when their legal department looks at the case, they will immediately know that Tesco don't have a cat in hell's chance of successfully defending it.
And even if they thought there was only a slight chance of losing, they still wouldn't risk it going to a hearing because the publicity would be absolutely disastrous if they lost.
(In the same way that the banks haven't defended a single case of reclaimed bank charges).
You've got to remember that whichever jumped up little department manager has made this decision, they are not legally qualified, just like all those store managers and Tinpot Hitlers in the Dundee CS centre who gave us all that grief in the R+R days.
It's only after you make a court claim that someone with legal knowledge in their Cheshunt head office takes an objective realistic look at the case, and realises Tesco are in the wrong in the eyes of a court.0 -
Thanks for bringing this up! I've had a card 14 months and always presumed you couldn't - oh all the missed wine points! You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0
