Can I clarify something please, I have picked a Tesco Credit Card leaflet this morning, and if I have read this correctly, if you pay for your Tesco shopping online or instore with the credit card, do you ineffect get double points?
Merlot.x.
Merlot, this is incorrect I thought that but now I have one and you get normal clubcard points for TESCO shopping and an extra point for every 4 pounds spend within TESCO. Elsewhere you just get the 1 clubcard point for every 4 pounds you spend i.e. in other supermarkets.
You used to get double points on the credit card but they stopped doing it a short while ago for new applications the ones lucky enough to have an older card still get the double points.
Hope this clears it up0 -

You get double the points if you open a clubcard plus account and pay for your shopping with this. You have to set up a standing order to pay money into it each month (but it can be as little as a pound). Before you shop, you top the card up at customer services (but i've also been told you can do it online) and pay for your tesco shopping with this card. You can't use it anywhere else, it's purely for tesco's.
I've applied for one but haven't got it yet.0 -
My mother has a Tesco card but lives in France, she has had her vouchers sent to my address. I believe that only she can use the extra points etc but she won't be in the country by the cut off date, is there anyway that they can be transferred to me or that they can be deferred to a date when she is in the country.0

Has anyone had any ink cartridge points credited recently? I've got a few that I've been collecting to send off, but am a bit loathe to at the moment if some pratt has sent 50,000 carts in - some people are just too greedy and ruin schemes like that for others!0

Personally (and I'm sure others would agree) I think 50,000 cartridges is ridiculous - sure, good for them if they pulled it off, but it's now going to have repercussions for other users of the scheme who take care not to go too OTT.0 -
I too have been pondering about the post regarding limiting the number of inkjet cartridges recycled, as I have just sent 600 carts to recycle to put towards motorpoint vouchers to buy a car !!! I dont think you have acted outside the ts and cs as I have read them inside out and even though it is for personal and consumer use, this is what you have done, youre not selling the vouchers or the points !!!! There is nothing to say where you get the carts from, they should be privalidged that you have chosen their scheme to send the cartridges to, as lets face it, theres loads of schemes on line, where you can get cash for empty cartridges.
I hope they dont pull a stunt like this on me !!!0 -

No, merlot - PLEASE READ THE CLUBCARD PLUS INFORMATION. THAT'S THE ONE EVERYBODY SHOULD APPLY FOR.#
The Tesco Credit Card does NOT reward you to the same extent.
You're more likely to end up rewarding Mr T.
That's why those application forms are at Checkouts and why CLUBCARD PLUS APPLICATION FORMS are not.

I see on here that Tesco have "extra points" on certain items. How do you find out when they are running this promotion?? I have searched the Tesco Extra in Camberley several times recently and not seen any. Any other ways to maximise my clubcard points?
