I just got the email from Nectar also:
"As you have redeemed Nectar points for an Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificate in the past, we are writing to let you know that after 31st January 2013 you will no longer be able to redeem points with Amazon.co.uk. Any Gift Certificates you have already redeemed points for will be valid for the full time period stated on the Certificate.
But don't despair, there are still hundreds of other ways to redeem your Nectar points.... "0 -

Dulux: shop in store at Dulux Decorator Centre (suppose no min spend)
You need to opt-in using the app first. Detailed T&C are in the offer page of the app. I haven't tried them myself, but used a few other offers from Sainsbury's and Homebadse which worked.
Do you shop at dulux much? Ive used my card there, but am not getting any offers for it and want to use it again! Am only getting sainsburys and hombase offers on the app0 -

Sorry I just now noticed your post...
I've never shopped at Dulux Decorative Centre and that may be why I receive the offer. According to the T&C this offer can only be used once. If you register a new Nectart card to the app you might get the offer though.
BTW the offer now requires us to spend £20 (exc VAT)...0 -
Has anyone heard of Nectar Adpoints? If you have the time/patience you can earn up to 250 points a week watching adverts, answering questions about them and following links to their web sites. I got bonus points when I signed up, all in all I earnt an extra 1000 points in the last month - not to be sniffed at! OH and I are buying our first house and we are saving up as many points as possible to spend in Homebase/Argos to kit out our new house0

How did you manage to earn an extra 10000 points when the max is 250 per week?
I also got the bonus points when I signed up but there has never been 250 points worth of adverts for me. The most I have ever got is just over 100.0 -
Because there was a bonus for just signing up. You can only get 250 for watching the actual ads. Oh and that was a typo, I meant 1000 not 100000

I use my Nectar card for purchases I make for the business I work for on eBay, I have the permission of the MD to do this.
Anyway 6 weeks ago Nectar froze my account without warning or giving me a reason why. I used every form of communication they offer bar carrier pigeon only to be eventually told that my account is under investigation, no other information was given. I was told a senior member of staff would ring me, but this of course has never transpired.
I complained on their Facebook page hoping that a public message may spur them on, but all I got was another email saying that my account was under investigation.
It's been 6 weeks and I really don't know what my options are, if I contact them they just give the same copy and paste response or I speak to an Indian with the promise of a more senior member of staff ringing me back.
I understand they have a right to protect themselves from fraud, but 6 weeks is a long time to figure out whether or not I'm a Sainsbury's employee that is scanning his/her card instead of the customers. There are a lot of points on the card and I now feel that Nectar are never going to unfreeze the account.0 -

So you have written to them and they have replied in writing?0 -

So you are using a Personal Nectar Account for Business transactions.
So it is no wonder your account got froze because you really need to have a Nectar Business account if you are buying lots of items that are not for your own personal use.0 -
Yes I expect using it for business purposes would breach their Ts and Cs, or else every other person with a business would be doing it too.0
