I referred a friend to join Lloyds cc in beginning June, still not getting the 200 bonus airmiles. I rang Airmiles, they asked me to talk to Lloyds?

Anyone who has got the 200 bonus airmiles by reffering a friend? tks

Hello again, just back to tell you all that those nice people at Tesco Clubcard no longer advertise the fact that you can convert your Tesco money-off vouchers to airmiles. There is no mention of airmiles anywhere on their latest correspondence which I received today, with my money-off vouchers.

I just got my latest batch of vouchers, value £7 (with the usual other product offers) and they are in two tear-off values, £5 and £2. So then, this means that if I wanted to convert an amount to airmiles, which, incidently, you can do in lots of £2.50, then in my case I would have to convert the £5 one, as the £2 one is 50p short of the minimum required.

Are they trying to tell us something?

How have you worked out how much airmiles are worth? Do you look at the price of a flight and then see how many airmiles you'd need to take it? different flight times are different prices on the BA site, yet all the same no. of airmiles.

Also you're saying one airmile is "worth" 8p in your first example, but 9p in your second, or am I missing something, or is it just rounding?

But then a huge discount off their value compared to cash needs to be introduced for the fact that unlike cash Air Miles do not let you book a flight on any day you feel like on any route but only on those days that Air Miles feel like making the flights available.

Booking in the mid summer months only a month or two from departure Air Miles are more or less worthless compared to having cash in your hand to pay with.

I have just applied for the Lloyds TSB card to get my 1500 mile voucher. Going forward, for general use, am I better to use the LLoyds card or the Tesco credit card for purchases?

Neither.

The Shell Citi Mastercard that gives 3% cashback off Shell petrol and 1% cashback on all other purchases is a far better card to use. However I now come to learn that unfortunately they are no longer accepting any new applications for this card. But you will soon to come realise that once you have those Air Miles that flights are almost never available to where you want to go when you want to go and that cash is king for booking flights.......

I have had a similar experience with Airmiles passing me to Lloyds and Lloyds saying to speak to Airmiles as the offer was from their website.

In the end I sent an email to Airmiles at [EMAIL="customerrelations@airmiles.co.uk"]customerrelations@airmiles.co.uk[/EMAIL] who eventually sorted it out. Include your membership number, name and the name, address of your friend and say you have tried via phone but keep getting passed around.

Does anyone know if you can always get eurostar/disney entry tickets with your airmiles? I'm asking because sometimes they limit the flights you can book and the numebr of seats per flight.
Any help REALLY appreciated.

Is there a un-official guide/website or forum for airmiles.co.uk?? Nothing on flyertalk. Looking for mass advice on boosting points. Or does this thread pretty much cover it?
