  • Sorry booklover but I don't have the answer - nor does anyone else by the look of it.
Can anyone help with this question - I collect airmiles with my Tesco clubcard, but what I can't figure out is whether it's better to buy wine with airmiles or to just get it using clubcard points (which I know you can double up at the mo). I know you can get flights with airmiles but these usually work out more expensive than you can get elsewhere. Having said that, the wine probably works out way more expensive too. I'm hoping someone will have this all worked out as it's doing my head in.
    It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

    Hello

    I have 3600 airmiles on a card.

How do i convert them into paper airmiles please?

    Many thanks

    Fiona

Which card is it on? Is it a credit card?

As far as I know you cannot convert card airmiles to paper airmiles, you have to register with airmiles for an airmiles account http://www.airmiles.co.uk and then you spend the miles you have via the web site or by telephone. Have a look at the airmiles site for lots of information and ways to spend your airmiles.

    Good luck

Help Please. My airmiles account is to be closed on 1st aug (saturday) and I'll lose my 571 miles. I need to credit my account with one mile by then but can't as it takes up to a month to get miles credited to your account. I've created an account for my wife, and pooled both her 0 miles and my 571 miles into one household account. As my miles are technically in another account will I now be able to keep them?

I don't think so, did you not get a reminder (email or written) about collecting at least one mile or your account will be closed? I think they gave 6 months notice of this.

If you look at the airmiles web site there are a variety of ways of collecting airmiles but I don't think any will appear by Saturday, Photobox is usually quick but I'm not sure they are that quick! Maybe you could email airmiles and see if they will extend your deadline?

Failing that someone else may know a way to get an airmile super fast... good luck.

Yes but I forgot about it. Looks like I may have to see what they say. Thanks

I'm in the exact same position as you. Have you contacted them yet?

I rang them today and they advised that I can keep my account open (due to close tomorrow) just by spending a minimum of £2 through their e-shop. I suspect you have to spend a minimum to get 1 point eg you'll need to spend £5 with itunes for 1 point but can spend £2 at Waterstone's for 1 point (I didn't clarify this with them though so may be incorrect).

They said my account would still show zero tomorrow but once my new points are added (up to 35 days) then the old balance would come back and be added to my new points. You must spend before midnight tonight though if your account is to expire tomorrow!

One thing Airmiles do not tell you is that you have to chase them up to add the airmiles to your balance. I have made purchases on 20th and 26th June and still they have not been added to my balance. It's a good job I am not depending on them to buy a holiday, sometime soon!
