Was almost tempted by this but ...
1. Read the reviews
2. Bought a Difusion over 12 months ago which wouldn't even start up
3. Am concerned at just how many refurbished units there are indicating unreliability.
It is very cheap though but if you lost your recordings you probably wouldn't be best chuffed. Any reviews from people who bought this would be welcome.
From another forum it is strongly recommended that the unit is kept well ventilated.0 -
I've not really fully tested mine yet but it's working as expected.
AFAIK it doesn't require a firmware upgrade - mine came with firmware v1.7.8, Bootloader v1.0.3 and Hardware v1.1
Picture quality is very good, it will record two channels at a time (haven't tried watching a recording whilst this is happening though), it downloaded a 12day EPG overnight (which I assume is correct).
The internal fan is a little noisy so it's not really suitable for a bedroom and it didn't come with any AV cables so you may need some spare coaxial aerial and SCART cables.0 -
Ive ordered one today, Ive read all the reviews etc and decided at this price its worth the gamble. Also trued via Google Checkout, didnt get my discount so sent them a mail, the good thing is all mail comes via Google so its easy to check there a problem at their end. If £10 comes off it really will be a bargin

I don't think there is a problem with Google Checkout. AFAIK MicroDirect is not part of the £10 off £30+ spend Google Checkout promotion which would explain why you didn't get £10 off.0 -
I looked on the google site and they arnt listed, but I thought all google checkouts gave the discount (probably wrong)
If Im wrong it doesnt matter as its a good price for what it is

Hi!
I popped over to Microdirect yesterday and picked one up.
I can confirm it comes with a 5 amp PSU and no scart or aerial cable.

No mention of £10 Google Discount at this retailer, not all retailers are part of the Google Discount Scheme, they are just using Google as an alternative payment system.
So no £10 off.;)0 -
For the money it's a steal. I had one and yes the poor power supply it had meant it stopped working but that's resolved now. The digifusion is still one of the most versatile units for the money.0
