24 left and counting. Reckon they'll be gone within the hour.0

I ordered 2 of them!
Honestly, are these SKY channels worth worrying about anyway? For news, you have BBC News 24 - surely a public funded news broadcaster is more valuable to the populous than one owned by a media barron who likes to influence world politics?0 -
living with mates, its all about skysports news im afraid, nothin else to watch in the mornings! I was looking at one, but then searched the reviews on the net and they arent too great... May leave it for now0

Personally I'd also rather have freeview Murdoch-free but until the BBC comes up with a dedicated sports news channel I'll be very sorry to see Sky Sports News go. Especially now they've started putting the odd live football match on SSN!
As in the previous post, I think fewer people will care much about the loss of the news channel or Sky Travel or Sky 3 or whatever it is now.0 -
Can this only record from freeview? Or can it record from external too0

Thanks for that, got the last 2 (mother and mother-in-law :A ).
Mind the website was a disaster, google checkout not working, couldn't complete credit card details as drop-boxes for dates where empty, on both firefox and IE. I ended up calling them & being put on hold etc, etc, all while it said "3 Available". That's the most stressed I've been all week_pale_Mike

I'm guessing one of these "refurbs" is mine, because I sent mine back! I bought one of these at around £100 a few months back, so this is quite a reduction in price. However, recording 2 channels at once was nearly impossible! The unit kept crashing and losing all my recorded programs. It was extremely annoying!
From personal experience, I really wouldn't go for this, even at this low price, because I think it's just a total waste of money. I think you're far better off going for a more expensive model which is far more reliable. That's what I did anyway!
One thing I would say in microdirect's favour is that their returns procedure was fast and simple, and I got a refund pretty promptly, which is good. I wouldn't have any hesitations using them again - I'd just go for a different product!!
DavidWhat shall I put here?0
