From memory that was down to underpowered PSUs which have been remedied in all the refurbs I've seen for sale. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I got one and it seems pretty good, you can watch a recorded program and record 2 at the same time. For £40ish it is a bargain, fast delivery too. You can record in SP or LP and compress programs if needed.

like the look of that a lot! Suppose even if it is temperamental and gets on ure nerves, u can jus send it back... SkySports News, here I come! Giving up on Virgin at last0

You do know that freeview is losing Sky Sports news any month now don't you.
Further evidence of Murdoch's greed.Capt_Carl

I have never watched Sky Sports news and to be honest I'll be glad that they will free up space for something else. Maybe we'll get an interesting channel instead.0

I agree with the poster who warns against compressing your recordings! It will work fine for a bit... and then it'll just wipe your entire library. Nothing you can do to restore it. It's a 'bug' and they were going to fix it about 18 months ago... But if you use it on standard SP, it's absolutely fine, no problems. Wouldn't be without mine.0
