omg sore bum

Hi there, my granny recommended a very old fashioned remedy called Lassar's paste or sometimes called Zinc and Salicylic Acid Paste. It costs pennies at the chemist but is a very thick white paste which creates a barrier against the skin. My kids botties were all treated this way and believe me this stuff works. Sudocrem etc a complete waste of time........

update now for tose who care and not the WUM who has tracked me down after ive had a quiet time on here for a while.....

got some bepanthen and it worked a treat. he also decided now was the time to 'go wee potty' and wants to be naked and has taken like a duck to water with the potty for wee but pooped on the carpet a couple of times.

he wishes to be naked which has done his bum the world of good but getting im to put clothes on to go out is prooving difficult.

however, i get a call from nursery today can i emailm them permission to administer calpol and then go collect him within the hour as he has a temp over 38.

from what he has said to me hos ear hurts. there seems to be an ear ifection going round if friends with kids on facebook are anything to go by. needs to get a docs appt tomorrow, too late for today. = day off work if he is ill as nursery wont ake him, OH cant get time off he already asked tonight and for staffing reasons was told no. im gonna get i n !!!! for this @ work yet my child is ill. what am i to do?

and his bum rash is back.

Good to see you found something works for his and that he has taken to the potty :T:T

might he have tonsillitis, that can start off with ear ache. But the doctor can deal with that today.... sorry can't help with the work situation. poor little lamb

update and thanks for all the HELPFUL advice.

got him an apt. he has a chest and ear infection. i asked about his bum and she said it looks and sounds to be fungal so has given cream for that also.

and he likes to take medcine now. about time, usually he refuses and you have to do the 'sit on him tequnique' that a nurse showed me.
