Thanks for being so supportive and really helping make these forums a pleasant and unbiased venue for resolving customer issues - you do the community a real service.

    Regards,
If you did the job you were supposed to in the first place this wouldn't happen would it
You've made it very clear why you are here which is why you ignore all the problems and requests for help.
The only thing that matters to you is promoting mobiles.co.uk ...whether you do that by damage limitation or dangling carrots it's of no use when customers have problems and issues that need resolving !!!!
It's not just about the money

Thanks for being so supportive and really helping make these forums a pleasant and unbiased venue for resolving customer issues....

This from the rep who advises a customer to contact the company for advice as:
any advice given here is speculative at best

Note the "unbiased" advice the customer had already been given by the company:
they explained me that I can't cancel the contract

I can confirm that mobiles.co.uk customer services insist you cannot cancel the contract if you have used the SIM - that was what I was advised and that is what their returns policy states:

    http://www#mobiles#co.uk/white_labels/shared/returns-policy-2009-v4.pdf

(Change # for . as the linking is failing - perhaps because it's a link to a commercial site)

This leaves very few options open to people who feel they have a valid complaint.

I would suggest that Mihaita Adragai read the policy to see where he stands.

Happily for Mihaita Adragai, he ignored Ben's advice and has taken advice from the members, which even Ben has been forced to (belatedly) come out and agree in print:
A faulty phone can be of course be cancelled even if it has been used

(MSE doesn't permit links to mobiles web site)

    Thanks :rotfl:
What you need to do now is cover all bases .....it's highly likely that mobiles.co.uk will try dragging their feet about giving you a returns number etc etc to get you past the deadline....so don't bother wasting any time package everything up and send it recorded delivery back to where it came from.
Enclose a short letter explaining you are cancelling the contract.
Get a copy of the recorded delivery receipt.
Speak to O2 CS and explain what you are doing and ask them for their nearest fax number and fax the copy of the returns receipt along with your contract details explaining that you have cancelled the contract and returned the phone and sim to the supplier.
Doing all that will cover any problems in the future and O2 will be fully aware of the situation.......If you made any calls using the sim I would imagine there will be a small chrge from them at the end of the day ;)

I just came home from the P.O. I sent everything via recorded special delivery. I'll contact O2 asap and hopefully I'll be able to get rid of this contract. Finally I'll try to get another one and this time I'll avoid everything that contains ''clearance'' in the deal. Many thanks for all your posts you've been very useful! :T

I'm sorry you feel that way, that was not my intent as I have my own issues with the company. Normally mobiles.co.uk will stick to their Ts&Cs however Quentin has correctly pointed out that Ben has offered you something different to their usual stance. All I was trying to point out is that you need to be sure of where you stand.

    My apologies once again.

Actually, they not only do NOT stick to their own t&c but also ignore the law of the land. That's also why advice from people who actually know what they are talking about is attacked - because it conflicts with the rubbish from the rep, who'd like everyone to believe the garbage he puts out!

Maybe Miahita Adragai was referring to the deliberate misinformation they gave him/you rather than your confirmation of what they said!

Evidence? Perhaps the police should be informed? You really make hyperbole into a fine art. It took over 300 posts before you'd even tell me what your problem was and then it turns out you were declined by our Quality Team and chose to interpret this as us "denying you a deal" when in fact it's simply down to us limiting the number of contracts we supply to any one individual.

MJ, Silk - obviously you've not noticed but (more or less) if you're on a thread then I'm not, even if questions are addressed to me or I could help out. It's just not worth the endless harassment to get involved.

We comply fully with DSR, UTCCR and every other regulatory and legal requirement. If you have any evidence to the contrary then again, please share it so I can investigate.

    Regards,

Taking this thread as an example, it's for sure that your customer Mihaita Adragai will be pleased others apart from you did come on and proffer advice!
