Pap my lovely friend, don't lurk when you are feeling
and need our help. How about posting up your SOA and letting us see if we can help?

Ok Pap
the apprenticship is 5 days per week? What work will you be doing on the other 1/2, what is it, how much does it pay per hour?
The other thing you need to tackle is the fact that your brother is earning 1k per month and paying the same rent. I think you need to sit down as a family and discuss a fair rate and whats included in that rate.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Sally, the soa is above... Its 5 days per week 9-5 (mon to friday) with one day at college (same hours). The work is all administation work so whatever they give me really. The place of work and college is over an hour away (more as its in rush hour) and my town is split into two areas (one and two) hence the huge bus bill. I suppose I will be at home about 6.30pm at night. If I still stay one day where I am now it would be every Saturday or Sunday for 4 hours, the bus ticket would cover that too. That would earn me £80 a month after tax/ni. However I havent even asked if they would want me for just one day...

I have put my details into entitled to and it says I could get housing benifit but I dont think that is right as I am technically not renting from a council/landlord am I [/STRIKE]You can't usually get Housing Benefit if:
you live in the home of a close relative
I have given up with the family thing. I dont think they will understand :rolleyes:0 -
You sound as though you are between a rock and a hard place with the situation Pap:grouphug:
slightly off topic.................what do you do with ameretto as I have aquired 2 bottles from MIL
I am having a bit in lemonade but its a bit ~~~~~~~~~But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
OK so the family thing you might not be able to sort at the moment but there are ways around this hun. I know it might be very tiring but could you possibly do a few hours cleaning in the morning or evening near work? You could also consider renting a room nearer to work/college inclusive of bills and you would get Housing benefit/council tax benefit to cover this. You would then have less to pay in transport and a bit of freedom?I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Definalty, the only solution is to try for a salary position in admin insted of an apprentice. But who will employ someone with no knowledge and office work experienceOK so the family thing you might not be able to sort at the moment but there are ways around this hun. Sally the cleaning thing is possible however I have no experience, plus I would nesd it to be guaranteed before I hand in my notice to work. I couldnt even give it a month before starting cleaning  Renting sounds good but work and college is right in the centre of town and prices are through the roof. Generally shared houses are student lets so there is no council tax to pay, I wouldnt be allowed one of these rooms. The cheapest one bed flat is £495 with c/t payed but then I have all my bills so it still wouldnt work
If only Mum would take the £90 untill May because then I would be at goal with CambridgeBut then again I still have my debt to deal with in teh mean time
I think I will have to admit defeat and just stick where I am for a few more months0 -
