Morning all (well afternoon then)
Could DH not go look for them Sally?
I didn't wake up til 11.25am! Unheard of for me lately but was lovely, DH then made me breakfast in bed....(well DD2 made it, he directed). I'm now up, showered and ready and waiting for DD1 to faff with her eyeliner before we go for a walk/push along the cliffs...then it's back for an aldi 3 bird roast (giving it a try to see if we like it before xmas)
Ooh I really hope people don't mind me jumping in here (I've been lurking on these threads for a while!) but you'll have to let us know if they're good - my housemates and I are considering one for our joint christmas dinner before we all go home!On the up

Whats a three bird roast?

OH said 'I loved your hair how it was, it was lovely!' Funny how he doesn't tell me till I have cut all my hair off....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Will keep you informed Vampiric....looks nice and it's just gone in the oven.
Sammy - Aldi's 3 bird roast is duck, chicken and turkey all wrapped inside each other with layers of stuffing......everyone says how lovely they are so I thought it was worth a try.
Back from our walk - blowy out there today, was lovely to see the waves crashing against the cliffs."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
it's a combination of different birds Sammy, all boned out - any number can be used with stuffing inbetween.
The biggest I saw done was 12 - now that is some leftovers :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

Pooky - I've seen the tip of putting a little bit of water in the tin with the Aldi one and that the cooking times aren't too accurate. I'd be interested to hear how it tastes, I might get one to shove in the freezer generally.
I've splashed out on a 3 bird roast of chicken duck and pheasant from my butcher for Christmas "Stay Wonky":D

Thanks for that BB, I shall go check in a bit and see if it needs water...I'm cooking from frozen so it might have enough moisture in it.....they say 2.5 hours from frozen which seemed about right considering the density of it....it comes with a packet of "marmalade glaze" too but I don't think I'll bother with that."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. How long should I put them in so they're properly heated up and I don't poison myself.

Having a tough time these last few days... I have to decide if its actually viable to go to these interviews this week  Sorting a soa even if I pass the interviews there is no way I can take them, its like my dreams have been shattered.
Now I am debating if I should actually go to the interviews and 'waste' 4 bus journeys equivillent to £8.20
On a psoitive note I have just started burning my christmas Yankee candle :T My get my snowman tea light out later too0 -

Go for the interviews, see what's being offered and how it all goes and don't be scared to say that you were looking for more money than they're offering - they've always got flexibility on wages. It's worth the interview experience and you never know they might think you'd be perfect for something else they've got coming up.
If you're offered the job and they can't make it worth your while then you can turn it down for the right reasons but don't deny yourself a chance."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Thanks Pooky, sadly its apprentice rates so wage isnt negociable. Its actually way below min wage for me, however they 'pay' for you through college. The only main thing that is telling me not to go is the fact that the wage is 'stuck' for two years. This means that I could 'earn' nothing for those two years. I have thought about staying where I am for one day a week but it will mean that I would be working 7 days every week. I dont want to stay there but if needs be, and if they will let me...
Here is my soa but as you can see there is no rent on there yet and I am only left with £97 and Mum wont take just that. The only thing I can do if I get it is drop CDthat has to be the last thing I want to do
£95 per week = £380 per month
£73.50 ~ First month ticket
£16.00 ~ House ins
£12.50 ~ Line rental
£21.00 ~ internet payment savings (every 3 months £63)
£160.00 ~ Cambridge
Total = £2830
