I have been told to clean my carpets will cost over £250
They are about 3 years old, light colour and look dirty through general use. I have thought about hiring my own machine to do the job.
Any others suggestions of ways to do it myself?
thanks0 -
Honestly if you are going to clean them I would advise getting a professional in £250 seems a lot -what have you got a mansion!
Get some more quotes but don't necessarily go for the cheapest, you need to be sure that the contractor has liabilities insurance tooBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

When we had carpets, I borrowed a Vax and was shocked at how much muck came out

I'm lucky enough to get to be able to hire the carpet cleaning machines for free as DH works in tool hire. I've lost count the amount of time he's brought the machine home.. works very well.. so well I didn't relise how stained my underlay was so when the carpet fitters pulled up my ok looking carpet to find this dreadfully horrid underlay I could have just passed out there and then!
The Karcher machine is my favourite. Any tool hire shop would hire them.. We use HSS - *big grin*0
