Pc world fixed pc?

Not sure if I am going mad so can anyone help?
Took computer to PC World after my OS disappeared after removing SP3 to fix my IE8 problem.
Got it back this morning they couldnt repair the OS so had to back up and reinstall xp.£100 bill and I ahve spent all day reinstalling all my programs av itunes mirosoft office etc( thought they would have done that) went to set up schedules for av and check disk clean to see that I only have a C drive. In my Hard disk I was sure I had a C and D before. will this matter do i need to go back and see them?

C & D were probably splits of one drive, they have just put them both into one.

Did you give them the CD's to re-install Office? Did you ask them to install iTunes? They aren't going to install random crap on your PC unless you ask.

They will install other peoples documents and !!!!!! pictures as well without your permission, so adding random carp is very likely

What exactly did they cahrge you for. £100 seems like a lot for a backup and restore.
Did you actualy receive a backup of your documents?
As said they probably just installed XP as one partition rather than 2. Did you have the original installation discs for XP?

No as it was a OEM and the disk i made wouldnt work , they tried all day but safe mode kept looping i the end they had to back up and reinstall ( concerned i may have lost some memory)

Well like someone said they probably wiped the drive including the partition and installed a fresh XP on it, which if you have restore discs that alot of computers come with, might now be usless as you wouldnt beable to restore windows as the D: recovery files are gone.
