Cranky I have another Labrador now too :eek::eek: She's 14 months old & has had a great time tonight trying to eat the christmas decorations as we've got them out of the box. Every 2 mins she's ran off with a bauble or string of tinsel with someone in hot pursuit :D We definitely haven't put the candy canes on this year she'd have the tree over :rotfl:

Even now I mentally divide people into "those who could live with labradors" and "those who couldn't". The only thing we found that ours didn't like was lettuce because it stuck to the roof of his mouth. He ate his dog basket once. It was chewed from edge to edge like unravelling knitting, until just the base was left. It took him some time, but there were never any chewed up bits of plastic lying around.

Hi all! Can't remember if I have posted in this thread today?
Started this over an hour ago....

    My day.

Cycled to work in the cold. Worked. Tried to fill in a job app and realised it's too blimmin far away. Cycled home. Gutted cats litter tray and soak in bleach. Made wheaten bread. Made 2 lots of carrot cake - one cake, one in a big poo - to slice up. Tried to cheat with the butter softening and put it on my hot water bottle. Sat down for a cup of tea, read about dogs eating cat poo:rotfl::o , went back to liquidised butter  Made topping. FInished carrot cakes. Washed a thousand dishes. Dried a thousand dishes. Cleaned the kitchen floor. Tidied the living room. Now - reheating remainder of last nights takeaway for dinner :o Tres tired .

I have some rum in the kitchen and could quite go one right now!

Hope everyones well - i have read but am too tired to comment individually so big hugs to those in need xxxxx:A

I've just looked back on what I've written :o:rotfl::rotfl:

Now now ladies, the tree will be gently placed in to the appropriate receptable which will be a very snug fit and need no oiling for a perfect insertion. The nice tight fit will guarantee a veritable firework like explosion of colour and best of all I can guarantee lots of Oohs and Ahhs of satisfaction as I dress it up!!

    It just gets worse. :o

I'm not speaking to OH cos my kitchen is covered in newspaper and silver spray paint. OH isn't speaking to the girls cos they were critical of his robot making efforts. At one stage I was standing behind him writing cue cards for the girls to read out like, "Oh you're brilliant Daddy" and "That's the best robot in the world Daddy".

Went out to check the chickens were locked up and found the hen house closed but no hens inside. The door had closed itself before they went in to roost. Found 2 of them quite quickly but couldn't find the others so went out with my wind up torch. Eventually located them 15 feet up next door's tree. Whoever said that hens can't fly was a damn liar.
Cue me halfway up a tree with a broom which the first chicken obligingly stood on and allowed herself to be lowered to the ground. The other was a bit more tricky but we got there in the end. :rotfl:

Then went up to bath the girls and almost had a cardiac arrest as the cat launched herself at the landing window from the outside. She can't seem to work out the cat flap and will only access the house from the raised deck off the landing.

Need to clean the kitchen AGAIN.....

On the plus side. The wine is lovely. ;)

Ps... Smoky, can I borrow your tree please?

I want to go and live with Haribo for a few weeks. It would be just like being at my sisters house except that George wouldn't learn to swear in an Irish accent....

Of course you can borrow it Haribo, there will be a small charge though

Eric used to keep chickens in the old house and one was forever escaping. His father used to tell him not to spend hours looking for it as it was a homing chicken. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl: Well moving right along our little dog eats chook poo as well. Disgusting habits. I shall be giving your dog a wide berth Haribo. I'll make sure DH gets all the licks. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Oh yes he would. :D

No one would believe it Hester. :o

Aussie, I am NOT licking your husband.

Smoky, when I was hanging out of the recycling bin yesterday trying to assemble body parts for the robots, the bin men pulled up and asked me if I found the chicken I had lost the last time they were here. :o They too thought they were homing. I've promised them some eggs but I'm not sure they trust me judging by the way they backed away from me while I was talking yesterday....
