, The dog has also developed a love of the "little sausages" that the cat leaves for her in her litter tray *insert vomiting smile* _pale_ Depending on OH's behaviour I may not tell him about the dog's new habit until she's given him her evening face licks. :rotfl:
Still.... at least there is wine.

    .

Little dog used to do that too _pale__pale_ they do tend to grow out of it, thank goodness

    Re Dogs eating cat sausages!

Our late Labrador ate these too & also used to dig in the gravel in the garden for the same. Sort of like truffle hunting :rotfl: Ours are all wormed every 3 months so it can't be that it's just vile dog behaviour I think. If your dog eats their own 'sausages' then feeding pineapple in with the food makes it bitter & unpleasant according to the vet.

Hi all, sorry been out all day so didnt have chance to read, but just seen Tris had another setback so wanted to send hugs MSD.Really hope he improves.

I met 2 old work friends,it was nice , we had lunch and a good chat, then I had to go to see my aunty in hospital as she was taken in on Tuesday. She's the one who has been having radiotherapy treatment for lung cancer, which is now finished, but she has been struggling with her breathing this week. She was asleep when I arrived, but a nurse came to check her and woke her up.She is bright enough and my cousin arrived too.I dont see him very often so between us I think we cheered her up and passed the afternoon on quicker for her.

DS1 picked me up-he was a bit late as a lorry had overturned on the slip rd off the motorway, then on the way back near us something had happened as there were lots of emergency vehicles and we were stuck for a while,so I was freezing when I got in .

Going to sit in front of the fire now, hugs to those in need x

  • Hi Guys!

Have been resting & sleeping most of today as I feel shattered. The nurse has been out twice today and GP called to check that I had been sorted an appointment.

OH helped me wrap quite a few presents, put 3 washloads through and in the TD:o, DW has been on and make a shepherds pie:D...he made an extra one for the freezer.

Hospital breast clinic called today and asked me to come in tomorrow afternoon for a mammogram but as Im at another hospital I cant go till Monday afternoon and will discuss with the consultant 20 mins after its done.

Cleaner is here in the morning and is also sorting a kitchen cupboard for me as she's on the same wave length as me and knows what I like.

We are away for Xmas, but placed an order for the 23rd via Ocado and got £15off with a voucher code from Hotdeals.:j:j:j....I will take the bulk with us away as we're not travelling far.

    Anyway, hope everyone is well.

    PP

Oh my lord -I am so not getting a pet! _pale__pale_

    Nor me!

I expressed my thoughts on pets maybe a bit too strongly to someone who showed a photo of her cat sitting on something she was sewing for someone. I was horrified for a number of reasons. I very politely suggested that client might be allergic to cats for instance, that it wasn't 'nice' to have pets on beds and other peoples' sewing etc. Person laughed it off and thought I was being a bit weird, so I went in a bit stronger and pointed out that animals don't 'wipe'. Where's that vomiting smiley?

    Good evening

SunnyGirl Thanks for the reminder that labradors eat anything and everything, ours was a nightmare!

I have done the ironing and hoovered the stairs from top to bottom once the painting man went home. He is sort of repairing the walls as he goes with polyfilla, so I did not have to become as closely acquainted with the stuff as I feared. He is also fixing the skirting boards. He has kindly agreed to come back in the New Year and help me sort out/ebay all of dh's tools (the ones I don't need) as he knows what they're all called or what they are for and I don't.

I had the carpet man come and measure the hall stairs and landing today. Four flights of stairs and four landings. I thought the price would be  but it wasn't as bad as I thought. £100 of it goes to the fitter who will deserve every penny in my opinion.

Dinner was spag bol out of the freezer as it means ds and I have the same dinner. I was too tired to do separate meals as the little pest was up for the day at 4:45am this morning. How he keeps going through a school day I do not know as I was shattered.

    Take care all of you.

    Dear God Tired Mum.

If our dog starts eating the "sausages" as they're coming out of the erm [STRIKE]cat [/STRIKE]machine... they're both off to the pound. :D

Glad you're being seen soon PP. They said I had to have a needle biopsy as at my age (I was 34) the breast tissue wasn't dense enough to show abnormalities apparantly. Hopefully you will just have to have the mammogram and no biopsy.

OH has gone to Homebase to buy spray paint for the robots. I don't know what makes him think I need 2 eight year olds let loose with spray paint in my kitchen tonight.

"Here doggy, doggy. Come and give Daddy a BIG lick! ;)

PenPin Glad you got the appt sorted quickly & hopefully you'll be fine. Brilliant that you'll be able to discuss with the consultant afterwards too as you will no doubt be full of questions. (((big hugs))) to you all x

Cranky I have another Labrador now too :eek::eek: She's 14 months old & has had a great time tonight trying to eat the christmas decorations as we've got them out of the box. Every 2 mins she's ran off with a bauble or string of tinsel with someone in hot pursuit :D We definitely haven't put the candy canes on this year she'd have the tree over :rotfl:
  • Well I did go out. I managed to get one of the two presents I have left to get for Xmas. The other I'm going to have to get online as no shops stick them locally (audio books on cassette). I popped to Borders too to see if there were any bargains. I got a guidebook to Auckland - where I'm off in exactly 2 weeks time :D - and a pop up map of Dubai for just £4 for both. I've got a one day stopover in Dubai on my return. I have a sligh obsession with pop up maps :o I have one for almost every major place I've visited, but they don't make any for New Zealand :(

I'm hungry again so think I'm going to make a pizza. I have a frozen half ciabatta to use as base and will just have quick topping on top made from tin toms, onion, garlic, peppers and herbs, with cheese on top. yum.
