I did just that, but as i pressed send an email came through from marks and spencer. -:

I can inform you that this wasn't up to our usual standard of service and we're certainly looking into it. Whenever there's a problem like this, we're always committed to putting it right and preventing it from happening again.

With regards to the items being out of stock, we do replenish stock but these items do sell out very quickly and are subject to availability. We do send you an email stating that your items are out of stock and I do apologise that you've not received any communication on your order.

They did send one email the other day stating the fathers day whisky thing was out of stock, but all other products were still waiting to be dispatched, the change thing had even gone... i find it all a bit weird there way of dealing with things..

Oh no Sorry to those who missed out I feel guilty now because my order arrived today - only a small 6 item order but never the less was hoping everyone would get a fair share.

P.S Delivery was in Midlands.

I did wonder if that was the case and they had just sent the 'wrong' email if you like.

Being out of stock seems very plausible given the amount of orders that they must have had.

As for the 'how would people explain about knowing that others had their orders' query........companies know fine about sites like MSE and Hot Deals...it wont come as any shock to them. An explosion of orders for the same items doesn't just happen, clearly word is being passed around.
