We buy our free range eggs straight from the farm - £1.60 a doz! NO supermarket comes remotely close to that price. Our meat comes from the farm shop and overall is cheaper and better quality than any supermarket - even Waitrose. We had a capon for Christmas and I've never seen one for sale at any supermarket. Veg I buy from Lidl/Aldi usually. It's acceptable and cheap. Why pay more? I might grow my own again this year. You cannot beat that anywhere.0

i get my veg delivered - a big sack with seasonal veg for 11.50! its brilliant quality and tastes great
i got my xmas bag on thursday - the turnip was the size of a football! had to use an axe to chop it!! the leeks were massive too so went round the neighbours with a wee mixed veg pack!!
they do everything but we are on a tight budget so eggs, milk and chicken are still bought at the supermarket but hope to change that soon
they deliver to most of central scotland i think
they are called 'the whole shebag', just a few villages over from me and highly recommended to anyone in my area!:T1st win - bbc good food show tix, 2nd win - cute polar bear teddy, 3rd win - off piste o9 tix :T

I second this - I alwasy buy their meat. The Steak mince is lovely, the pork chops are so meaty and their chicken breast is very reasonable. I don't think they are pumped full of water either :beer:can anyone recommend a butchers/ farm shop in east london/essex area.
There is only 1 I know of in Essex (Thurrock) and that is in Aveley:D0 -

can anyone recommend a butchers/ farm shop in east london/essex area.
I've just quickly googled farm shops in Havering and there are three in Upminster but havent been to any of them. There's also Bonzers on the A12 but not sure if that is just spuds?
Am likely to start looking for a farm shop so will try and remember to post back my findings!!0
