loved it, It's a TV program not real life ! people don't really live in Devon and shop in London! Enjoy it for what it is entertainment.

I have watched bits of the programmes and thought they were great..so what if she used material at £70 a metre to make a teddybear, the programme is there to give people ideas about what can be done at Christmas time without resorting to buying mass produced tat from china, make your teddybear out of an old blanket instead.

As for the mincepies..they're easy to make and if you have shop bought ones jazz them up a bit with a doiley and some icing sugar or even edible glitter - its not rocket science.

I like Kirstie Allsopp - she works hard and I don't begrudge her anything..now as for that hat where can I get one? I also want her red landrover too (at least it wasnt a range rover or a discovery - it was a proper landrover)

Did anyone find the Boxing Day chutney recipe? I had a look on the website but couldn't find it.
    Thanks

I love glitter but I don't think eating too much of that 'edible' stuff can be good for you! Didn't Kirstie say something like 'and you can snack on it if you get a bit peckish in the night!'?! :undecided Now I eat some c.rap but ...

I like Kirtsy, and think she has a great eye for style and design, but this program annoyed me. She not only said 'homemade' and 'avoid mass produced', she also said 'give the credit card a rest'. I wonder, if added up, what the total cost of her 'homemade' Christmas, that gave the 'credit card a rest' costed? Could the average joe afford that without resorting to a credit card? In today's climate I think it would have been more appropriate to show us how we can have a stylish Christmas on a normal, average income. You don't have to spend a fortune for things to look good or to be inspirational. In fact, in my opinion, it requires the most creativity when you haven't got a lot of money to spend.

It's just another show that makes the majority of the country feel like what they have isn't good enough (Location, location, location, a new life in the country, grand designs etc....) Aspiring for more than can be afforded is what got a lot of people in trouble in the first place.

I have to say I'm disappointed with the number of negative comments here about the series, you didn't have to watch it if after a few minutes you weren't enjoying it.

I loved all 3 episodes and whilst some of the suggestions were a bit beyond me, like glass blowing for instance, I have taken away from wonderful ideas for next Xmas including the making of personalised presents for my close friends.

The series was entertainment and I was throroughly entertained.

I continued to watch because I don't think that making a judgement after a few minutes is fair. Anyway, we are all entitled to our opinions - why have a forum if not to spark debate?
