We laughed at the bit where she appeared with her furry hat and coat and THE most vivid scarlet lipstick ever. I reckon that must have been a £50 lipstick at least. Such an intense colour.

I'm sure Kirstie's really nice but she's not really of this world is she, bless her:rolleyes:

and as for the toy room?? i dare her to let my demon 20 month old in there, those antiques wouldn't last 5 mins!! and as for the trailing holly in there too, i hope she has a stack of plasters or a lock on the door to stop the kids going in.

as you all said good ideas but not really money saving.
  • this programme should have started in january, for me at least to have some chance of probably a salt dough decoration.

i found most items she showed us contained the phrase "you can buy this ...", i was really disappointed as i thought it would be more economical :) if only we could all call upon cake decorators, card designers, glass blowers! lol
    Sealed Pot Challenge #775!!! :j
  • It is gorgeous, the stuff she's doing, and her house is beautiful - but like many have said, aside from probably the Salt Dough it's not really stuff a lot of us can do cheaply :rotfl:

Agreed, I'm disapointed it's not more focused to what the average joe can buy and do.

I'd love those sort of markets she has too! (£8 for that basket though :O )
  • I missed this completely - does anyone know if it is being repeated?

    Thanks

  • Not sure about repeats, but part 3 is tomorrow at 8 on C4

You can watch them on 4oD here: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/kirsties-homemade-home/4od
  • Just caught the tail end of it on 4+1 and I've fallen in love with that little teddy bear. That's next year's project - I'm off to the website to find out more. Will be watching tomorrow nights too - looks like she is making choccies!
