Nothing new there then. What was that Xmas cake thing all about? If you haven't had time to make one, go out and buy one with icing already on. I think I could have worked that out myself actually Kirstie. But there's a further twist. Then decorate the bought iced cake yourself with lots of dots and call it "Homemade".:rotfl::rotfl: Kirstie darling .... wouldn't you save a few pennies by buying one completely decorated and also save yourself a lot of time & effort.
Who in their right money-saving mind would go and buy a glass bauble for their tree costing £20? How the other half live hey?0 -
Also had to laugh at the home-made Christmas cards - "if you haven't got a press....."!!!! And the repeats within the programme!! - how many times did we see the glass-blowing before she actually did it? A half-hour programme (at most!) strung out to an hour! And then she didn't show us how to make the swag!0

It was advertised as festive decorating ideas that won't cost the earth  I could never afford to buy a glass bauble that cost £20.
I did enjoy watching the programme though and will tune in for the other two.Mortgage Free in 3-T2 : Started at £151,000 Nov. 2009 Mortgage Free Oct 1st 2015

these programmes are never made for the people who watch them! I shall have to tweet George Clarke from the home show and get him to do a programme for real people!

I love watching these programmes but could never afford most of the stuff.
I loved the baubles but even before I was skint I wouldn't pay 20 quid for them especially not with 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog in the house
I'm sure alot of people would love Kirstie's house, I would but I don't see "the look" working in the middle of the ex council estate I live in  :rotfl:0
