Thanks Lozza, I really appreciate your feedback and help :) xx.

I could kick myself but have learnt my lesson, don't go out of my way to help Reps. Give them what they need, support them, but don't give them things to help their business that cost me money. Haha, my SL has it right, sign them up, be helpful for a few campaigns, then never see them again.

No problem :) Lol I wouldn't go that far - never seeing/hearing from them again - but no I wouldn't spend too much more than you have to. I give out approx 25 calling cards, an extra 20 books than what I get refunded for, and 40 resealable bags. So probably costs me an extra £3 per rep perhaps - doesn't sound much, but when you get people who never order at all, then you can potentially be out of pocket for over £8 (with not being refunded the £5 odd for 40 books & appointment pack), so its getting the balance right.

I was left in the deep end by my asm - luckily due to being stubborn, having a supportive oh, and this thread I managed to work out how best to do things so have been ok. If not, I would definately have struggled - I got told repeatedly "you ask too many questions"....er yes because I LIKE TO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING lol. daft cow she is :rotfl:but getting back to the point - I know how hard it is not having any support, so I make sure I support my reps as best I can with help & advice & various documents I've made, and answering any questions they have, along with giving them the extra bits I give them in the beginning. But other than that - its their business they need to do the actual work themselves, I wouldn't expect anyone to collect my books for me (well apart from my oh lol :p)

My ASM is really pushing me to be a SL... (aswell as go for the number 1 spot in my area with £16k a year sales... is she CRAZY?!!?? :rotfl::rotfl:)... but reading from SL's here and a few places im starting to think my constant refusal and wanting to concentrate on being a rep is the right desicion! Seems alot of work for little reward. :o

lol yes it can be! You do need to be pretty stubborn at times to continue with it. Don't get me wrong - the reps I have are fantastic, and its nice meeting new people. :)

However - some people will take the p*ss and make you wonder why you ever joined avon, let along became a sl!

In HT7 you can get an eye cream + an eye make up for £7. Are you only allowed to order 1 cream + 1 make up or one of each (3 creams + 3 make ups)? Thanks x

    Anyone??

Also has anyone ordered the £60 Boost your Business pack in HT? just wondered what was included, it says to refer to previous HT issues but had a clear out the other week so no longer have previous issues :rotfl: xx

Its good to have a little push in the right direction, maybe she just has faith in you as a rep and feels that youre doing well enough to work your way up.

At the same time its good to weigh up both sides. I recently became a SL and I love it. Im hopefully earning commission this camp and its only my 2nd one, but it is luck of the draw. To be honest i started avon so i could get out of the house and meet people, i was feeling low and needed something to focus on. Avon is my thing to focus on.

People think avon reps are mad anyway, walking around in the rain for the sake of a few books, Sales leadership is no different apart from you get to coach people and pass on your words of wisdom lol.

I saw it as I wouldnt be losing out, any commission is a bonus and i get to meet even MORE people.

I think it would be alot more stressful if i worked full time as well etc, but i dont so its perfect for me.

sorry just found the right HT, the way I see it, you can order 3 lots of the offer, but each lot, would need to consist of one group of items, ie one clinical eye lift and eye pencil duo, and the second one, the eye system and mascara and serum and third, eye system and eye shadow.

Thanks aureol :T That's what I assumed but my Mam wants the reversalist/mascara duo so didn't want to order the others just incase they only sent one set and it wasn't the one my mam wanted as the others would just be for my stock as all pretty regular sellers for me so could make a few ££ in the future :D

and thanks for the boost your business list xxx
