  • Winsones - DO NOT give in to this bully. I dont care if she is seven months pregnant (have done Avon while pregnant so I do know how hard it can be) she is not entitled to your customers so why should she benefit from your hard work!!!! Wish I could offer some constructive advice but cant as I've never had this prob. :o

I’ve had major trouble on c4 and c5!... sorry it’s a long rant!!

]I am seriously thinking should I just give up this street to this pregnant 17/18 year old and just deal with the drop in sales or doing something – trouble is I don’t know what!?

Any advice would be great, as I am near to tears and tempted to quit!

winsones - hugs from me!!! Don't you dare give up your hard earned customers to this young lady, who told you she didn't want a book from you! I'm sorry, but if she is 7 months pregnant, and is doing Avon, but can't make it to the street allocated to her, then who is to say once she has the baby she will carry on selling Avon?

I have a rep who is pregnant, due in April and bless her, she has been going out to all the flats in her territory, trying really hard to get customers. Unfortunately where she lives, it is all flats with entry doors, but she gains entry and delivers books. She is working hard at it.

This young lady needs to stick to her own territory and leave you to get on with yours. Put a note through all the doors that you drop a book at and explain due to a communication issue, there is another Rep working the same territory, BUT you are the designated rep for this road and will continue to be for the forseeable future, so if they would be so kind as to order from you, if they want to order.

In my evil mode today, I would be tempted to drop books at her friend's and family doors too, saying you are the designated rep in this road, to see how she likes it!

Don't give up please winsones. There is no guarantee she will keep up with Avon once the baby is born.
  • Thank you.
Even though I have spoken to my area manager on both accounts I have just emailed her with the above (to a similar effect) reiterating but with the addition of...
"I felt quite threatened last night and the way she spoke to me, I am near to tears and tempted to quit altogether! But I do enjoy it and have put in a lot of hard work. I just do not feel that I have the energy and time to compete with another rep who is unemployed and is obviously breaching the rules and most certainly not listening and going to stop. I feel that I am not getting the support that is actually going to make her stop. Is there not anything more official that can be done to stop her doing this instead of a telling off as this is obviously falling on deaf ears! At what point do Avon take serious action about reps that are breaking the rules and considered ending the contract - she obviously has no intention of stopping on this street and I can see that when she has her baby it will be the easier option for her to continue in this manner! I am not sure if I should forward this direct to head office or if indeed they would do anything anyway."
  • You go Winsones - stick to your guns. :)

Must be a morning for rants on here so if I may join in and ask one little question- "Are Avon Customer Services/ Returns always this incompetent?????!"
Reason for asking the question- I sent back 3 boxes of returns - a lot of christmas stuff that was unwanted and people used the 90 day returns rule. I thought nothing of it BUT Avon have only credited me for one box totalling £85 which is £200 shy of the actual returns total! I haven't got the £200 odd to pay for the rest of the returns they say they haven't got but I have sent them through the signed notes TWICE and now they have held this campaigns order...... sometimes I have to wonder why I bother........

Any way I can get this resolved besides emailing customer services? :mad:Which I have done twice?

  • On a separate matter...

I am trying to locate an item that a customer thinks has been discontinued. She showed me the item. It is Be Bronze Self Tanning Cream for Face spf6 and in a 50ml tube. She thinks she paid about £5 each for them and would like about five tubes if I can get hold of it...

    :)

I'll put a message on Flissys for you. Not sure when I will get to check it, but will PM you as soon as I know anything.

and please don't give up Avon because of this "young lady". There is no guarantee she will carry on once she has had the baby.

    Hi Sam

yes unfortunately, CS are not always spot on. It took me 2 phonecalls to find someone in the SL team who knew what they were talking about and could actually clarify something for me on one of my rep's account.

Have you emailed the barcode to CS and told them the date they were returned? Or did you scan and send them proof of the Delivery guy's signature and barcode info?

Do you talk to your SL/ASM? Get them to phone up on your behalf and chase it up. Actually am surprised your ASM hasn't called about your order being held. Mine was quick to tell me when mine was, and to tell me to pay my outstanding amount.

If they still stay they haven't received it then it might be worth you calling your courier company and asking them to check the boxes were returned to avon. If they say they were, get them to confirm it to avon on your behalf.
  • Hi Aureol
I've scanned the signed receipts to them - twice- and faxed them once:mad:
thats's why I'm sooo annoyed. I may email my ASM actually and tell her whats happened and see if she can help. Don't want to bog her down though with problems - doesn't seem fair really.

Thanks for the advice tho; I'm off to send a quick email.

  • winsones, wow that is very bad news and I know we are all  on your behalf as there seems to be a lot of room for unscrupulous people to nick other people's territory, or be down right mean for no reason when it could easilly be resolved. If that had been me I would have spoken to the SL/ASM and said "look I'm heavily preggers, can't waddle that far can we work something out with the rep on my street?" That would solve so much agro. It all comes down to communication. If you just ask people first then you can avoid so much drama. I think some people thrive on getting into fights.

I'm only my first campaign and discovered when I picked up my books that it's possible someone is already on my territory. My ASM says "it will be fine" err, I'm not that hopefully having read all the stories on here and avonfriendsforum about criss crossing territory, mis-assignments and greedy reps. I decided to take what books I got back to my office and gave my husband a few for his office as well, to see where that goes as territory is obviously an issue. I was so excited at first but now wondering what I got myself into.

yummyyummy congrats on your orders! there is hope for the rest of us newbies then. Don't worry about F&F, I'm in the same boat. I don't have that many friends locally and fewer who are interested, maybe one or two, and no family of my own here. We're all have different circumstances.
