Thanks, shame but makes sense I guess. My SL says she can maybe put one my way (no ideas where they're based....) but still leaves me with one short. Ho hum....

Sorry to hear about one of yours going into debt; it does spur me on to appoint people I know rather than just strangers off the street. Guess there are pro's and con's both ways. Good luck getting her back on track again.

I was able to restock my goodie box for giving away this campaign. Through creative ordering got 2 nail varnish collections.. 2 customers ordered the derma fill at £18 i back ordered from previous when it was £20 to get the beauty bonus bags. I will split the contents so for extra £3 I paid I will have seven items. Also got a free Anew body contouring for doing whatever and a free Ungaro bonus bag for anniversary present. Only on my 10th campaign!!! It had 2 Ungaro products, pink lip gloss, pink nail varnish and nice bag. Also got buck she silver sparks eye shadow which must have fallen in somehow. Will either keep that or return as I sold quite a few. ALso got a colortrend lip gloss set usually £5 but free through creative. Got 2 free christmas glycerine hand cream last month .!!!
I do point out to people if things are a lot cheaper in previous or next campaigns and always point out if they missed a freebie . I have a good customer who orders at least £70 per month £100 when beauty bonus was on as she takes it into work. I gave her goods to value £10 this month and have given the girls she works with a little thank you. Still manage to gather a few goodies in the box.:j

Read previous posts about people having probs with Antler bag arriving without strap. I had one at Xmas but it had a strap. Got one in this order but having to send it back as it doesn't have one have asked for immediate replacement. Wonder what will come in place of it . Aqua earrings in place of Diamondesque ring set this week.

To begin with while you are canvassing to find customers, you'll be using all of your books, so perhaps think about having half the area on the camp behind ? And also thin carefully about how long you leave each book at a house for, the longer it sits there the fewer times you can re-use it, but if you dont leave it there long enough, the customer might not get chance to look through it before giving it back.

But once you have establish a regular set of buying customers, you will be able to service them on much fewer books.
But you must remember not to get complaicent about it and to re-canvass your area a few times each year and hopefully pick up a few new customers who previously were not interested.

Cheers poppet, I hope it didn't sound like I was either boasting or complaining lol I'm still a little dazed by it all as I can't believe I am actually doing it. There is so much to take in. Tomorrow I'll find out how many books I can get back. I figured dropping on Monday for Thursday pick-up and Friday for Monday pick-up was probably just long enough. That's 3-4 days they've got them. I will definitely order more books so that I can manage two rounds. Have to remember that I don't have to canvass the whole territory all in one go

I'm kinda hoping that the whole area around me is free as my ASM just sent out a msg looking for SLs in my area. I'm not going to sign-up for that just yet but if I do well and I like it then in say 4 campaigns time I might look forward to signing up some other people in the area.

A friend of mine had surgery today and I am going to visit her tomorrow. She sent me a text from the hospital saying "I want Absynthe perfume and bring a catalogue" so yeah! first sale without even trying. I've been a little shy about approaching F&F, I mean I told everyone I'm doing it but most of my friends are not into make-up, skincare, or fragrance, or they live out of the London area and I don't really want to get involved with shipping costs. I don't really have much family here either, just my husband's. So, that was a nice surprise.

I wasn't going to canvass my husband's office because someone on his team was doing it already, but turns out she stopped a while ago. She offered to take orders for me. That is so cool, I don't even know her! Last night I mentioned to my husband that there seemed to be quite a few male reps and that lots of husbands get roped into helping out. He got all indignant and said he was too busy and couldn't imagine himself selling "ladies products" lol now he'll have to take the money off his colleague and carry loads of make-up and skincare to work

Sounds like you're off to a very good start NAS. Might be worth offering people 10% for themselves or their favourite charity for any orders they can accumulate and put your way? Just gives you an indicator of who may turn into a rep in their own right.....

I wouldn't worry about people going to debt too much - it does happen yes, but not that often (more common with people who join just before christmas, in order to just get presents free!) . More common is people saying they want to do avon, but then not being in for the appointment/not placing an order. You'll get some great reps in people you don't know, and its nice meeting new people

I have to recruit people I don't know as none of my friends are interested, tried that route. LOL.

One of the new reps I signed up made £138 in sales in 1 week, as that was all she had before the order was due, I am hoping with her next full campaign, she will get more orders...

I am going to drop books with my other Rep today. I really hope we get some orders out of it. I have put a postcard in offering a free gift with every order over £10 and a sample of something. I have also put a note on the front, saying if you don't want an avon book, tick this box. Gives us an idea on how many people on this new road don't want a book. I only had 20 books spare, so am hoping she has prepped her own books too, so we can do a big hit today.Fingers crossed.

Hi Denise, on bag number 4, still no strap, getting a bit fed up with sending back each time!

Hoping the Avon oracles on here will know....

The free planet spa mesh bag was missing from my last order. Ordered a replacement and got a confirmation email 12 days ago. Just putting in current order and no sign of it online and it let me re-order a replacement as it still showed as available to do so on last invoice online. Will I get two and charged for one? have already saved the order with '2nd one' saved on (didnt get an email for that one..) im confused, doesnt take much....

I think they must be repacking the bags with the missing straps and sending them back out, maybe they are hoping someone will accept without shoulder strap:p
