Hi all
Looking for some advice as im really confused, lol
I use to sell avon years ago but gave it up. Anyway, i started again last week & have been given a territory which i have canvassed & done really well with for my 1st camp. I have £350 worth of orders. My area manager said something about a credit limit on your 1st campaign & she was going to get back to me to let me know what it was. As lovely as she is she is useless, lol & has hasnt. So today i phoned avon & was told my limit is £300. I dont really know what to do now, If i put £300 in on my regular order & then place an additional order will that work, or will i have to pay off the £300 first. Plus will the additional order have to be above the HOV to recieve the 25% commission.
I wouldnt mind but i use to be in presidents club years ago so they should know i will pay up on time! This is just making things really complicated.
Any advice would be welcomed
ty xx
If you have a £300 limit, the amount you owe Avon after your 25% discount will be less than £300 so you should be fine xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -

Hey everyone!
I'm hoping someone (an SL or ASM) can help me....
When you allocate roads for a new Rep, does the 'system' tell you what roads are vacant and what roads are already allocated and to whom they are allocated?
When I signed on with Avon a few weeks ago, I was given what I was told 'vacant' territory by my ASM. A few weeks later, and it has now transpired that there is another local Rep who is claiming to have had 'my' roads for x number of years.
It's becoming a battlefield! The Rep is telling me one thing and my ASM is telling me another. I'm inclined to believe my ASM, but I also don't want to be in a situation where I'm canvassing roads that the other Rep is going to start fighting for. I want to build up a good rep with local people!
Surely if the system has allocated me those roads, then they're mine?
If you can log into the 'system' and find out who roads are allocated to, I'd be SO gratedful if someone could check who 'my' postcodes are allocated to. (I can PM you a list of postcodes.)
Any and all help MUCH appreciated!
Thanks girls!

As an SL we can see available territory according to the map but it won't tell us who territory is allocated to unless it is one of our own team.

The best thing to do is get your ASM to agree who has the roads allocated and tell the other rep the same thing. So if your ASM has allocated them to you on the mapping system, then she needs to tell the other rep this is so.

saying that, one of my Rep's ASM couldn't find her postcode on the old system, had to give him surrounding postcodes, he allocated her territory but we have a feeling, as it is not showing assigned to her on the new system, that it belongs to someone else already.0 -
Unfortunately with territory used to being dealt with exclusively by Asms, and now us SL being able to allocate as well, there are some problems.
For example, when I got access to the new system, I double checked that mine & all my reps territory was correct. One of my reps hadn't got ANY of her territory allocated to her, and 2 of my streets that I'd been doing for nearly a year weren't allocated to me. For this new system to work, all SL/asms need to double check the territory allocated to existing reps is up to date as otherwise new reps could get given streets which appear to be vacant, but have been covered for a while. Hope your asm can sort this out for you.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Thanks for your replies! :T
The other Rep in question is also managed by my ASM (no SLs involved), so I can't see how the 'error' has occurred?
My ASM had allocated the roads we are battling about to me on the mapping systems (or so she has told me). She told me a week ago that she told the other Rep that they are not her roads. But now our ASM is back-peddling and has said that the other Rep is allowed to give the ASM a list of her customers from 'my' roads and keep them! Blooming ridiculous, as I've spoken to a couple of 'her' customers who have told me they haven't been 'her' customers in years and are happy to order from me.
Surely it should just be a case of saying to this other Rep .. x roads are allocated to me and that she mustn't canvass them? After all, I'm not allowed to canvass 'her' roads.
I'm beginning to think I have an ASM who is trying to keep everyone happy. She has told me that I'm not allowed to speak to the other Rep, and that everything must go through her. However, the other Rep called me and told me that the ASM said we had to share the roads?
It's very baffling!! Is there a 'higher' person I can speak to about all this?
All I want to do is canvass, collect orders, deliver them, and run the occasional Avon Party - not much!! LOL!

Unfortunately avon don't seem to care much about their reps - I'm directly under an asm and have complained directly to avon, but they weren't bothered, just said they would email my asm and get to her to reply to me...even though I said I've emailed her x amount of times & left x amount of telephone messages!
Sounds like the asm may have given this other rep the streets years ago, but never actually allocated them on the system, which is why they are now yours. Plus, it sounds like this other rep isn't bothered about recanvassing.
If the asm says they are your roads - I'd deliver everyone a brochure, and have a note in that is quite visible saying "hi I'm your new rep, avon have requested I deliver everyone a brochure, however if do not require me to deliver a brochure in the future, please write your address here and I will not disturb you again"....that way, any of the customers that still want to order from this other rep can let you know themselves, they have the choice then of who to order from.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi Everyone, I have signed up o Avon and put out my first books today C4 , :j
I have read loads of pages on here and found them very helpful. Thankyou for the thread, hopefully I wont have too many problems.
I am not sure about creative ordering ? Is this just checking the offers have been taken up and ordering if not ? This is hoping I do actually get some orders :eek:0 -
How creative ordering works is that you can always order from the current and previous brochure
So currently I am still on book 4, and so can still order from brochure 3 as well. Say you get an order for a lipstick from brochure 4, if it is cheaper in brochure 3, you can order it at the cheaper price and pocket the price difference yourself. Sometimes items are the same prices, but it could be that you get something free. For my family I give them the cheapest prices, but for my territory customers I keep the difference myself - but I give them all a free gift with every 6 orders, so in the long run they get their money back anyway they just don't realise it lol.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
