Morning all
MSD - thinking of you and Tris - hope it's good news.
I'm very late posting today have finished my paid working week now have the unpaid work to do! Have got beef casserole in the oven for dinner tonight, will make some dumplings to go on top 1/2 hour before it's cooked - I love dumplings but they're not good when you're trying to loose weight - so will give them a miss and have an extra portion of veg. DS2 has his Xmas party at Cubs tonight so will be taxi later for him and a friend. Have got 1 load in WM and will get another in later so at least I can get them dried and ironed tomorrow. Not much else OS going on here at the moment apart from following my menu plan which I am managing to do each week, still haven't really thought about Xmas - which is now becoming a worry - just can't seem to get into gear this year - but I really need to tackle it.
Have to go now, keep safe and well, hugs to those that need them.

Evening all, slowly getting back into the swing of things now, bad thing is that as i'm playing catch up i have spent HOURS reading the board today when i could/should be doing something else lol.
Well dd's furniture has arrived today for her grown up bedroom (she's 9) and it so reminds me of the cindy/barbie dolls house furniture from when i was younger, white with silver metalic pattern on doors and drawers, will go beautifully in her room when i have fixed it up, £20 from ebay for a wardrobe and chest of drawers...bargain!
Have made my first ever hm pizza and wedges for tea tonight and can promise i will never buy another pizza from a shop again, slightly dearer than a tesco value one to make (went overboard with the mozzarella and cheddar) but a million times better in taste than any shop bought pizza!
Think i am making a rod for my own back doing all this home cooking as the kids will never let me slip back to my old ways now :0)
Diva - my thoughts are with you x
Penpin - big hugs to you x
Birthday wishes to Mr Redruby x
I will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)

Thanks to all of you who sent me virtual hugs after my post yesterday.
I had a great day at work, my teens were such a pleasure to work withwe joked round and had fun all day but they got lots of work done.
OSness - I'm just about to wash up dishes. I made stirfry with tofu, vegetables and black bean sauce for tea and HM egg fried rice, with a portion of plain rice cooked and frozen too.
I think I'm going to write out my Christmas cards tonight with a glass of wine

I know I haven't read the thread yet but will do before I post tomorrow. I can see it was Mr Redrubys birthday so best wishes and love to him.
Tris is still with us!! However, the cancer has spread further even from 3 weeks ago when they operated last. He is considered too weak for them to try chemo but they are willing to try radiation treatment again. But the Doctors are not giving him more than a month or so. However, they said that a year ago so there is always hope.
He is going to sleep now and so am I - I only had about 4 hrs last night as I never got back to bed after getting up in the small hours.
Thank you all so much for your messages of support, I have emptied my pms again - the love and caring from this community is just amazing. Please keep the candles and love going for him, I know he and his family are more than grateful and you all already know what it means to me.
Have a good evening
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
