sparky, I never thought you'd be using a as a cash counter, though I guess if you've got THAT much you'd need to!
...and just look at all the exercise you're depriving your Jack of! For me it would take some fun away, I love it when it starts to plop out, then another and so on!!! :j
Ahh.. don't you worry about your excitement dooleysdollymix88, it'sa good feelingfor us all to have.
Morning Sue
Don't worry hun, the machine doesn't take the 9% the one's in supermarkets take, the amount you put in goes straight into your bank account. Managed another £3 odd into my sealed pot yesterday, also 10p in road change and 50p coin into the Summer 2011 fund. On orders of my DW I decorated the tree in our front garden yesterday with new lights. Plus we have the added bonus, that we have done all our Christmas shopping YAY!

I mentioned this to my 9 year old last year and he wanted to do it so I got him a tin for 59p and thought he would forget all about it to be honest.
He has been putting in money he has found on the street during the year, he asked me to give him any I found too. He has kept it up and would not let anyone put money in if it had not been found on the street.
I will be opening it for him on Wednesday so that he can use it to buy his present for me and his dad and he is really excited about it.
Morning angelasmomma
Sue will be along later to allocate you a members number, on Thursday we will be starting SPC4, so you're more than welcome to join us. Well dont to your LO for saving his road change, very MSE

WALKING THE DOG
A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane.
Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney along the way.
The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and
if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft, the plane would
re-board in 50 minutes.
Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind.
A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was
blind because her Guide Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in
front of her throughout the entire flight.
He could also tell she had flown this flight before because the pilot
approached her, and calling her by name, asked, "Kathy, we are in Sydney
for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?"
The blind lady replied, "No thanks, but maybe Buddywould like to stretch
his legs."
Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill
when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane
with a Guide dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses!!
People scattered. They not only tried to change planes,
but they were trying to change airlines!
True story. Have a great day and remember...
...THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

Hi
Newbie here, but have always collected spare coppers in a demijohn. The last time I emptied it out and paid it into the bank there was £35 (boy they were thrilled when I emptied my rucksack onto the counter - I had bagged it all up)
So next year I'm going to have multiple jars/tins/bottles whatever I can find without having to buy anything.
I went thought a phase of collecting my £2 coins so I could spend them when I went to quilt exhibitions, but that's fallen by the wayside.
But I have a whole new mindset - so should you be setting up a "Sealed Pot Challenge 4" please count me in!0 -
Georgiegirl there's going to be a SPC4 don't worry and you're now 'In' Sue will be about later on to issue you with your none returnable deposit free number (although we do encourage you to make a deposit in to your sealed pot regularly!)
I've just added 21p to my bottle, and am rather looking forward to opening it on Monday night (planning to get it all banked on Tuesday so I can declare my total on Wednesday as it hits my bank account). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
