Well said, sparky!!! Now come on you lot, we're waiting til Wednesday!
We all have to treat our pots as unexploded BOMBS they will detonate - IF - we dare to touch them!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
However, excellent news of your 671.80 saved  Winchelsea!!! Great news given all you've been through recently!!! :T:T:T
Great news about your £336 too Lucy!!! :T Great savings by you both!I really am so very happy for you.
Now, a little decorum (anyone tell me what that means) if you don't mind folks. It also makes a lot of difference to sparky as he tots it all up. I'd be so grateful if you can all help us. Many, many thanks, Sue
OK folks...another day closer and there are just just 5 days left!

Just put some coins in my pot, am getting quite excited now, hopefully can stash a lot more in it in the next 5 days. Got my new pot ready as well. Just can't believe how quickly the last year has gone.
Whatever is in my pot is going off a credit card.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Frantically trying to cram every last penny I can get my hands on during these last few days.
Havent a clue whats in there but anything is better than nothing and am really looking forwards to it.
Can just imagine everyone on Wednesday sitting on the floor or at a table saying 1 pound, two pound, 3 pound etc etc and I am sure we will all have smiles on our faces at the end of the day.:)
Well done to those who have already counted theirs. :T:TMARCH £62.38/2500 -

:mad: OH I wish I knew I didnt have to smash it before! Its full of folded notes so I dont think I will be able to get away with it but im going to give it a try first ofcourse...:money:!!!!
I do have a long thin pair of tweezers that may just do the trick...I hope so!
I think I may empty my pot on the 1st with you lot and start again. Im guessing I have atleast £200 in there and would do well to put it in a high interest savings/ISA account while I continue with my pot.
Plus its just not fair to see all of you enjoying all the fun!:rotfl::rotfl::T:T WELL DONE to those who have already opened! :T:T0 -
Well my tins didnt arrive today  but there is always hope for tomorrow. I took my younger children to a soft play centre and nipped to ASDA to get DD some tights and have managed to come back with £10 in £1 coins - plus I found a 20p on the floor outside. Have temporarily put them in my Zebra piggy bank, but its not very big so not great - plus it isnt sealed.
I normally buy a scratchcard on a friday and was going to try and kick the habit but I was weak and bought one - felt guilty that I had wasted £1, but won three, so a £2 profit which will be going in my tin.
I wont buy one next week though - will save the £1 for my tin.Moving on upSPC #382 ~ £40 banked
12k in 2016 #15. £541.91/£30000 -
Thanks everyone for the congrats on my total. Sorry if I've made it hard for others to wait until Wednesday.
I'm lucky it had more than I'd dreamed, also lucky that I didn't have to smash my pot. It's actually an old fashioned stoneware 7lbs jam jar, covered with a circle of thick plastic with a slit in the top, held on by a cpouple of thick rubber bands. Quite easy to open - and I did, several times! - but NOT to count, but to take out some change and replace it with notes. Miraculously I didn't get tempted to count it (until today that is!)
Good luck for the big day all of you!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
Hi - just got back from a night out - first in a looong time, and we only spent £14.43ish - the odd change went into the whiskey bottle when we got in
However - as i will be working every weekend for the rest of the year a group of us are going to the German market in B'ham for the day tomorrow, so some more change when we get home and i will keep my eye on the floors too:)
Not looking to buy a lot tomorrow but there will be lunch/drinks etc involved but it will be our christmas treat as i will not get to see people much now, even working xmas day, boxing day and NYE!
Have a good day everybody, wish i had started this earlier so i could open a pot on weds but I can look forward to next year:)

The long thin pair of tweezers might just do it for you dooleysdollymix, but it would be a good idea, before you add anything else in the pot, to open it up on Wednesday and then keep just cash in it. A good idea also to put it in a high interest savings/ISA account!!
Good plans for yours TMD!!! Very wise indeed.Billie-jo wrote:Havent a clue whats in there but anything is better than nothing and am really looking forwards to it.

I love to see such a wonderfully positive attitide as yours was Billie-jo, it's by far the best way! I reckon your right with your image of us all on floors or tables beaming with delight as it all gradually drops out.
Well done with that ticket frasersmum! I hope you're lucky with your pot arriving today!
Never fear Winchelsea, we will get by!
Have a lovely day tomorrow, henna! You're going to be one very busy lady all through Christmas and NY!!! Still, one way to look at it is that it'll help you with what you owe.
Right then everyone...it's getting closer and there are just just 4 days left!
