In the true spirit of MSE I have recycled my sealed tin, by adding a jam jar lid to the bottom and duct taping it all together again, thereby saving myself a Quid! :)

Oh larmy, I just loved that!!! :D Martin will be so proud of you. :money:I hope you're putting that £1 in the pot next Thursday for a good start! ;)

mummytogirls, I've updated your Target for next year. It's in red now to remind me not to take it off which will happen to those with targets on for this year. ...and yes..you too will be able to class yourself as an old timer next year. :D

Super job with that £6.24 henna!!! Keep that up and you'll really be looking forward to next Christmas' count up! :D Congratulations on how to get the best from a chicken too! :T:T That IS the way to budget - and to SAVE!!!

Willow, I honestly do know what you mean, but as you're now continuing through til next year you may just be in a much better position by then. We never know what the future holds - BUT - we can do our best to remain positive and always hope for the best. Have you looked on the "Cooking Old Style" (can't remember if that's the proper name) thread? If not go and have a look at it and see how to make meals from very little money. :) Also, read henna123's post above for great tips on how to get the most out of a chicken!

Where are Kas, Reb and Kerfuffle?? Not STILL on the naughty bench surely. :( Or did I not tell em they could get off!! :doh:Anyone seen a trail of choccy wrappers..please..anyone?!! :undecided Maybe they're having a group hug :grouphug:!!! :rotfl:

Take care all and keep very warm! Keep putting the pennies in as - just 7days left!

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join - it's NEVER too late. So, just say the word and you're in for next year too! :xmassmile

I was saving for a Pontins holiday in May 2011, and going well up to £87 now!!! I think Pontins has gone bust so I will have to find something else to save for but I am enjoying putting my lose change in the jar and its amazing how quick it builds up so keep on saving folks. Viv

Grr I am actually an idiot! I got the train to one of the towns with a branch of my bank this afternoon...and forgot the pile of bagged change I have on my desk.
