In my defence, they were a seriously reduced price thing on Amazon. :rotfl:

I went to bed early last night (I was knackered) wish I'd seen that now...insight to how my kids might feel.
Oh and btw all of you......I've got another duvet defence......I have 3 kids.....one summer duvet/one winter duvet.
In fact that means I dont actually have enough, what about me and OH? :rotfl:
I need to start early today, as soon as daughter goes to school. Son is bringing his g/f round tomorrow and she really can't come into the house like this. She's gonna think we're relatives of Steptoe and Son. Son will be mortified and will blame me for everything that's ever gone wrong in his life since birth. :rotfl:
(Did I tell you we now have a nice brand new micro stereo in our den? See...our loft is like Santas's Grotto)
Have a good day everyone.Herman - MP for all!0 -

spotted this thread a little late....
for future reference, take pictures of the stuff that has senitmental memories, the wedding dress probably isn't any use to anyone, but you can cover a picture album with some of it and make a little scrap book / photo album with the pictures of the[STRIKE] junk[/STRIKE] treasure you have passed on to someone else to take joy from (i.e. stick up in their loft when they realise they don't really want it either!)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Well it's nowhere near empty by any stretch of the imagination.....but the stuff that's there is all stuff that I need/want to keep so I guess I'll have to settle for the way it is now.
It's much, much better and you can actually stand up and move around now.
There's still things that I probably should have got rid of but I've had enough now tbh, I've been up there for 3 days! My knees are shredded.
I'm pleased with how much stuff I've actually parted with but I now realise that I'm going to have to leave a bigger storage area than I had originally intended (for insulation laying purposes). I know you can get the slab board insulation that you can lay flooring on, but it's quite pricey so I'll just stick with the npower stuff for now and lay it everywhere else other than the floored area.
One thing I do know for sure, is that I wont be bulk buying bargains anymore, they take up loads of room and cost too much even if they are cheap iyswim.
Did I tell you I had bought a new loft hatch and ladder? :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -
They are ace, ladders that is!
1 sooooper dooooper find once I had bought this house was to open my loft hatch, the loft area wasn't even on the details when I bought this house, was a ladder.
Its been invaluable! I was able to sneak up there after the kids had gone to bed to find all xmas and birthday pressies. I used to make up christmas boxes for the poor in Romania and I had it all laid out for a few weeks as I made them up.
and now its the drum room...........arrgghhPanda xx
