    Morning Friends

Smoky great to see the piccies again.

Sorry I have been MIA, I have been reading, so :bdaycake: Thrifty, Mrs E & Belated ones to SD & all others I missed. How is Grumpy doing Cranky?
Haven't had a lot to say, making OS meals, using up the freezer inbetween loading the Family Tree to Ancestry and tweaking it, I have got quite a long way with it so about 2,000 people so it takes some doing, not to mention the odd game of Scrabble. We have been spending updating things, but doing it via the Grabit and Hotdeals pages and searching the web, so did get the best prices/deals. Wanting these to last now, so went for a bit of quality too. Managed to break the glass plate in my combination/microwave ordered replacement off web which came very quickly so pleased with that service. Had wondered whether we had to replaced that too. All things being replace are over 10 years old, FF was over 12, old things going off to freecycle.

Was going to mee Jayward in Donny for a mouch around the shops and market, but she is in pain this morning and has had to be cancelled so :grouphug: to her. Also Elona, P-Pin, Molly, Tris and all other under the weather. Will go myself in a mo as I have a £5 Boots skinnie and today is the last day to spend it.

    Catch you again soon.

....I am bit worried about my H.....We could really do with a break away to recharge the batteries but can't see us being able to afford it (and I'd need my parents to have the kids). I might have a look into it and see what potential costs could be - we have some money in savings (which I only like to use for emergencies but I beginning to think this could be an emergency)

Do you have any Tesco vouchers to exchange for deals to cut the price of a weekend away? Or how about buying him a "tonic" or some multivits to give him a bit of a boost?

Have you looked in TK Maxx? Or at Next's Small sizes?

Morning all, Ann's representitive on planet Earth here! I am just having a moment of sanity after my quite "delightful:confused::confused::eek:" Year 11 group.
Ann sends her love to all. I did have a list of birthdays but the Y11 class ate it(does anyone think she will believe that??:rotfl:)
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU(if that applies) saw THRIFTLADY on the list -have a great day.
    Harribo love to your Dtwins

TiredMum both Ann & I know exactly what you are going through. We are thinking of you and send you all our love.

As friday looms even larger Ann is getting ever more stressed. The road atlas seems to be stuck to her and she has an ever increasing pile of papers with various lists on them.!
I have been told I must leave my mobile at home as shee will need it. She has been having a "dry run" by being on the mobile at the same time as the landline.(how she will manage with two mobiles, the landline and fingers crossed the laptop I do not know!) At times like this school seems like an oasis of calm
    I must love her!
Now, having ensured my survival for another day I will get ready for my very nice(I mean that-they are delightful) Y7 class.
Have a good day. We are hoping Ann will be posting tomorrow afternoon so you will be spared my drivel.
Hope this finds everyone well. Best wishes to all and regards to anyone sad or under the weather.

    Mark.

BrrrHSshiver.gif is all I can say.

Happy Birthday Thriftlady, and also Mrs E.Enjoy your day.
Purpleivy-thanks for pm.Sent you one back last night, you've prob read it by now.

I have all 3 men around at the mo-DH and DS2 are tidying the work van out ready to start the job tomorrow, then have to pick up some stuff from their storage .I think DS1 is going too, there are 2 boxes belonging to his ex.He heard from her yesterday that she is moving out of the area,so there are a few things that need sorting before she moves out.I think the news knocked him for 6 tbh,and that he secretly hoped they'd get back.I was upset too yesterday, they were together nearly 10 years ,did their travelling abroad for a year together,so loads of memories.Anyway I've written a note to go in her Chris.card, kind of closure,to wish her well etc.

Salmon for tea with roast veg and spuds. The chocolate fruit cake turned out well yesterday, there was enough to put an extra in a smaller tin,so we had some last night.

Time for another cuppa, might light the logburner too.Enjoy your day.
Zippychick-hope the interview goes well today.

    Good morning all :D

First things first Happy Birthday MrsE and Thriftlady  :bdaycake: Hope you both enjoy your days.

As it is December I will now allow mention of the Christmas word in my house :D Haven't done a thing towards it though :o Are you going to kick me off the board ?:p Actually, I'm pretty sure my grannies wouldn't have started on Christmas preparations before this date, so maybe I'm being very OS and not slack at all :rotfl:

OS wise, the second load is in the washer, first lot spread on airers. Although it is dry and sunny, the frost is still really thick, and in my north-facing garden not a hope of towels drying out there icon9.gif Really wish I still had my old high-level washing line, that used to catch the wind. Today's whirlygigs just sit there sulking

Oh well, onwards and upwards, there's dust to be disturbed, and floors to wash.

Good luck zippy for your interview :D

((hugs)) for the poorlies or sad. Tired mum, so sorry to hear about your dog icon9.gif
Essex girl, thank goodness it wasn't worse with the garage. Bad enough, but you could have been hurt  Hope it gets sorted soon.

    welcome2.gifSave-a-holic and Nitha

I was just so tired last night that I didn't get back up to talk to Tris.. I mailed him and told him I needed a full nights sleep and slept right through which was lovely! Thank you for the pms saying you noticed me missing, they made me feel very loved!!

I had a nurses appt this morning at 0930 which is why I am only now sitting down to post as I had to wait nearly an hour to get in as she was already running late. Have to say it's darned cold out there and one of my hips seems to have seized up so I am limping more than normal. Not sure what is wrong with it.

Spent 3 hrs in the garden yesterday - I had so many layers on I looked like a michelin man, plus a very fetching hat but it worked, the only parts of me that got cold were my feet and hands. Managed to get all my garlic planted and my OH took down the two plastic greenhouses and packed them away. Still lots to be done - bulbs to be planted etc but have to grab the weather when you can.

Lunch (which I am just sharing with the cat) is ham and salad in HM bread and tonight is steak pie and mash with YS savoy cabbage. No, the cat isn't having a sandwich but she is eating the little bits of fat from the ham.

I haven't read all the thread so forgive me if I have missed anyone, I will try and post again later when I have caught up.
However, in the meantime, to anyone feeling under the weatherhead%20cold.gif - get well soon and I hope today is the best it can be for people. With love, light and grouphug.giffor all.

Hi All! Just thought I would check in . Not had a chance to read the thread yet but will do once I have this piece of work done.

I did notice we have some birthdays, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS E AND THRIFTLADY!!!!!!!!

Interview went ok. He didn't really have much structured questions and I think i did ok ish. Thing is, I think i'm above and beyond what they're looking for (if that doesn't sound arrogant). It is a very simpley job answering phones taking orders all day. I asked about promotion aspects and there aren't any. They don't know their market share, they don't know how many calls they take a day. All seems very backwards and basic and I don't think I'll get it for that reason. I dunno.

OS wise, nothing done much . Some ham hock out of the freezer for lunch sandwiches, and a banana muffin out of freezer too. No idea what dinner is. I hadn't thought beyond my interveiw.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Oh sorry Zippy Chick but at least you had interview practice and having decided you dont want it ..you might be pleasantly surprised?

Bitsy - its very sressful when littleones are young cos there is no let up for both of you. I think planning in some one-one time with hubby would help. Also Im a great believer in the old SAD lamp even if you dont have an official SAD diagnosis. It makes a huge difference to me and mine so might be worth a go.

I have just purchased Delia Christmas book - the new one...I do have old one too. Ohhh Im getting a cookbook fettish I think:T I got £10 off in Waitrose and only popped in for tinned pears for DS3 cooking on Friday - Marbled Choccy Traybake.

Just waiting for my dinner to reheat.
Donnygal - been thinking about Jayward. Will PM her - thanks for remembering me xx

    Love,
    Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Afternoon all.

Firstly, Happy Birthday to Thriftlady and Mrs E.

Esses Girl :eek: OMG! Thank goodness no-one was injured.

Well, after having a good-ish day yesterday, I'm back to zero energy today.:( Tried a bit of light dusting, but started dropping things, so decided to stop before I got to any breakables. My hands have deffo got worse, and I can't seem to get the rheumy to take me seriously.

Not to worry - if it comes to it, Mr LW will move the ornaments for me later.

Found a couple of mahoosive spuds in the basket this morning, so they're earmarked for baking for tonight's dins.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
