O2 iPhone users forced into paperless billing

When I signed up to the contract, some 14 months ago, I specifically requested paper bills and that is on the contract I signed along with my free allowance of texts and calls. How they can just take away part of my contract is unbelievable.
Assuming this is actually part of your contract, they can't just take it away. Tell them that they are in breach of contract, and you would like to terminate the agreement with them immediately. You should no longer have to pay line rental (and they will cancel the SIM) but you can keep the phone.
Hopefully they will realise the error of their ways and reinstate paper billing for you - otherwise, you can get a SIM only deal and probably save a bit on your line rental.
Have a look at the complaints escalation procedure on the O2 website and keep going until they either cancel the contract or... actually decide to honour their promise.0 -
Just called customer service and told them I don’t want to lose paper billing and that it should be my choice to stop it and not theirs.
They told me I can’t get paper bills any longer so I told then I want to terminate my agreement.
Got put through to retentions and was told I would have to pay unexpired contract.
I advised they had changed the terms of the agreement but they are adamant they have not.
Disgusting actions and will be leaving as soon as I can.
They get to hide behind carbon footprint when it’s all about saving money and bigger payout for the share holders.
Customer looses out again.0 -
Save on cost of print/inks, papers, envelopes and postage. Oh and helping the environment. Can't be that bad.
If they provide a pdf version, only print if and when needed? In return, save cost to OP.0 -

I was a bit miffed when Orange first told me that from now I had to pay for paper bills unless I went paperless, but now I am, its actually eaiser for me as I am not shredding lots of paper and filing the one bit I want (that actual bill, not the ten tons of junk that seemed to come with it) Instead just log on, check it and log off!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

It's strange as I haven't been told about this happening and I received my bill a few days ago. Anyone else still getting paper billing?0

Received my monthly paper bill from O2.
Also enclosed was a letter with the same details that henceforth all billing to be done online.
At the bottom of the letter says if you don't go online much or would like to keep monthly paper bills then simply text "PAPER" to number 20802.
Did this and 2 minutes later received a text to say thankyou your monthly bills will continue.
I need them for the Inland Revenue so that is my excuse.
This seems a little simpler than getting upset.0 -
Just posted at same time.
It doesn't really bother me tbh, but I can understand why some would still prefer the choice.

Yes I had that letter. All seems very clear and straightforward.
Of course it might not work out that way.Just posted at same time.It doesn't really bother me tbh, but I can understand why some would still prefer the choice.
Some of us at least still seem to have a choice according to that letter.
The OP seemed to think s/he had been forced into this so perhaps they didn't get the same letter.0
